Hi Ladies we are looking at going to either of these resorts in June for 10 days. Can anyone give me any feedback. We are a couple with no children. Booking a fully inclusive package with Emirates/Dnata. Many thanks if any of you have any good/bad info or experiences at either of these 5 star resorts.

The Indigo Pearl on Nai Yang Beach is a great property...The Movenpick Karon is also good but popular with families. I've heard lovely things about the Katathani Beach Resort as well as the Avista Hideaway Resort. I tried booking through an agent and I highly recommend Gail. She will help suggest and book the best resort for you according to your budget and requirements..055 9569502.

I have stayed at Laguna beach and it was excellent, we had an amazing time, I have heard the the Meridien is also populated with GCC nationals.

We are staying in Laguna next week so will be able to offer an update on the facilities etc when we return. We are travelling with our 21 month old son. Also worth to note that Laguna, Dusit, Outrigger and Banyan Tree are all in the Entertainer Travel book, so we are paying for 1 night, 2nd night free and then have 20% off the remaining 6 nights, works out to be a great deal.

We are big fans of the Laguna Beach Resort and have stayed there as a family numerous times and loved it. We haven't been back since it changed to the Outrigger group but are heading there for a few days break over the coming school holidays. For us, we find it more of a family hotel, with the water slide etc. so probably not ideal if you're a couple wanting peace and tranquility (the Dusit next door is a lot quieter). It has a lovely location with cheap and cheerful restaurants just outside the hotel on the beach.

Thank you Sabdallah!! It's hard to know where to stay? With a 4/5 star you would expect these resorts to be lovely! I will look some more...

Hi there :) I've been to the meridien and I can describe it as an average hotel, very busy with lots of Arabs, pool is amazing and beach too, but rooms r small and not very clean yet the location is great, very close to all the action or wht u call down town. Food was okay too but not superb. I wudnt go again. But mayb ur getting a more deluxe room. Hope this helps 10 days is really a long holiday for Phuket ..
