Hello Everyone,
might anyone know where I can find pomegranate molasses? It's usually used for Fattoush and to cook some kinds of meat with. Real tasty sweet and sour sauce.
Any leads?
Thanks!

Yes, My Pomegranate molasses is not sweet. I was at the expat woman fair and had a chat to that celebrity cook who was there - Suzzane someoneorother. I have one of her books and it has fantastic recipes and uses a lot of pomegranate molasses. She also confirmed it is the molasses you want not the syrup or grenadine.

I double and triple asked a few different people each time and i was directed to the same product. and since trying it, it is super tart...not sweet at all. What does the bottle of the pomegranate molasses look like and where is it usually? Just so I know for next time!

I asked this question a while back and was told by those in the know that grenadine was much sweeter than pomegranate molasses so not the same thing. In spinneys you can get PM in the cake making section - with the rose water etc. Tahini is in the breakfast spreads I think.

In most lebanese bakeries, they call it grenadine. But when you see it you'll know what it is :-)

I just bought my first bottle. I got it at the Fruit and Vegetable market's Union Co-op. It was right next to the mayo bottles. It says grenadine molasses with a picture of a cut pomegranate on it. The word pomegranate isn't even on the bottle anywhere lol. It's a green label, looks like a glass coke bottle. I can check the bottle for the company and get back to you.

They have them in The Coop, in Al Barsha. It's in the olive and cheese section. It's usually on display with the olive oils from Lebanon... And all the Lifco's should have them. edited by Angel Flight4 on 05/03/2013

Spinneys in DSO had it a few weeks ago, it was where the treacle and golden syrups are...
