Does anyone know where to recycle glass bottles and cans in JBR? All we have in our building is a box for paper/carton ...

Brilliant – I can walk then :) Thanks!!! Re: access to car park, we have received a letter from Dubai Asset Management saying that whoever does not have the new remotes on 17 July will not get in, so hopefully they mean it ...

Amwaj 3. Bin for glass on the ground floor by the entrance door to the lifts (not the lift doors by the barrier, just round the first corner). Cans and paper in the basement (again, by the entrance doors for the lifts). Mind you, they do tend to change the bins around. Not sure when they are going to activate the barriers to the car park, they keep saying 'in another two weeks' !!!

Thanks Amelia! Which building is that in? Happy to walk if not too far from the Abu Dhabi end of JBR, otherwise I can try and park nearby as I know they are going to start restricting access to all car parks in a few days. I would prefer this to having to drive to Springs/Meadows or Al Wasl Rd :)

We have bins for recycling glass and cans in our carpark in JBR, but whether you would be allowed in, I'm not sure. I thought all towers had them. Otherwise, Spinney's on Al Wasl Road and Aswaaq by King's school have them.

well, not surprising ... that type of blank looks is just so typical Dubai! Do you know where the recycling plant is? I have found threads talking about Springs and Meadows Town Centre but was hoping to have the shortest drive possible :)

There is nothing around. I have asked the guys at security and they just stare at me like I am from another planet :\: There is a recycling plant you can drive to though
