This guy told my DH he was Italian, although DH said he was sure he wasn't. I just assumed they wanted a free (i)phone out of the deal and that the suits they were handing over in exchange were either cr@p or stolen.

My OH thougt the suits were a bargain and got 3 for 500dhs! Needless to say he hasn't worn them, probably doesn't even remember the scam....hope he doesn't fall for it again ;) This was 2 years ago, maybe they got locked up and have only just been released? I definitly think the police should be called next time they approach someone. Get their number plate etc. <em>edited by Sabrina H on 11/03/2011</em>

Pepps, DH had this happen to him just a couple of weeks ago. Like HAK they pushed the suits on him and wanted DH to buy iPhone as a birthday present for his DD. This was in AD. SD This was 2 days ago !!!! How come these guys don t get caught and whats the scam exactly anyone know ??

Yep - this also happened to my DH a couple of months ago outside of Mall Of Emirates, so my DH took them into MOE and asked to try on some of the suits, he then said to them I have no cash, so they came out with the old buy us a phone story. DH just walked away, I said to DH when he got home that he should have called the police there an then as this I believe is illegal.......

You can t believe they would do that in Duani or AD with the laws as they are !!!
