Don't suppose you have Grey's Anatomy season 7, do you? And I have a whole load of Sopranos that've never been opened. Free to good home :D.

Another vote for dubizzle, we listed some children toys and they were gone in 3 days. For dresses you could try souq.com as well, I have seen lots of clothes listed there. Do you have any children books (baby -toddler)? I'd be interested if you do. my email is my username @gmail.com edited by mishmash on 01/02/2012

Thanks ladies for all the great ideas. I have heard mixed reports about Safa park so it has put me off a bit. I guess I need to just stop being lazy and get organised. Will write a list of dvds tonight and post on classified - I'd only be wanting about 10 dhs a box set or similar. With the clothes I have left that I haven't already given to charity I would still like to make a bit of cash - I have lots of new dresses from French Connection and Reiss - maybe I'll ebay them in the UK. Are there any charity book sales coming up soon? I just gave a load away but still have a ton more. I tried to give them to house of pros to sell but most of them they wouldn't take and so I gave them to charity instead.

Mirdiff Flea Market too, run by the same people as Safa. Good way to shift unwanted stuff, we did the january one and plan to do the February one too! We too are moving and downsizing BIG time so lots of stuff has to go. Some things sell well on Dubizzle too, we have raised quite a bit of money from selling our surplus. I have also given away quite a lot too!

Why not donate them to a charity or the other thing I have done is advertise them for free on Dubizzle and you normally get grateful people who need them.

Ladies - just wondering how you get rid of second hand items here and whether you actually make any money? I am really missing ebay both for buying and selling. I have so many dvds and clothes that I would like to shift, especially as I am moving, but I don't know what to do with them. I've given a ton to charity but have some bits that would definitely make some money but I'm at a loss what to do with them. I also have so many DVD box sets but again not sure if there is any market for them. Any ideas?
