I would like to get some feedback from ladies who are using Aramex SnS, is this offer (from Groupon) reasonable, do you use SnS a lot, is it worth it? I would mainly use it for clothing, baby and craft stuff.

Do you pay fee every year for SnS or is it one off payment to join?

thanks

Thanks for the bongous link - it's good that Aramex ship stuff straight away but can be a pain if it's part orders.. also annoying when parcels include loads of advertising brochures adding to the weight !! Tell me about it! I ordered a cute cardigan and the shop I ordered it from added their yearly catalog which was quite thick and heavy. Grrr! Paid more than I thought I would.

Just a warning to be careful when shipping - I was charged 200 dirhams last week in customs charges and I am not sure why, I was only expecting to pay 70 and ended up paying 270 :( Possibly due to the value of the package, who knows. I have seen people before saying that shop n ship means that you avoid risk of customs charges unlike normal online shopping shipping but it isn't true! how much was the value of your package? was it above 270 USD? Yes it was - is that the point that customs start poking through it? Thanks for the info if so, I will bear that amount in mind in future! well as I can see below speena mentioned this value in this post so Im guesssing that anything above this value is subject to 5 % charge Indeed I called them this morning to know why I was charged 162aed by Customs on top of the 41aed delivery charges and the answer was the value of the item; more than [b'>270USD[/b'> = 5% to pay to Dubai Customs... Be aware. I think people know this BUT even with tax things are usually still masses cheaper than here. I got a Nespresso machine from the Uk, paid Aramex and tax on it and it was STILL only 2/3 of the price they are charging in Dubai Mall!

bumping for worried123 I did rate calculator comparisment on bongous and SnS and do not understand why Bongous rates are showing much more expensive then SnS?Im doing something wrong when calculating? Dont u find Bongous much more expensive compare to SnS? the only advantage I found when researching is that Bongous offers consolidation which SnS doesnt which is a shame... for example shipping cost: Bongous 0,5kg @around 240Dhs SnS@ 41Dhs B 1kg@ 250 Dhs SnS@ 73 Dhs B 2kg@ 340 Dhs SnS@ 137 Dhs B 3kg@ 420 Dhs SnS@ 201 Dhs Im bit confused as there is such a huge difference in price so hope worried123 can clarify thanks

https://bongous.com/ Sorry, Bongo. They are US based, I think. Quite good so far, my new kindle is arriving next week! Thanks. Do you pay one off joining fee or is there yearly/monthly charge as well? Have you been using them long?

I like boingo, cheaper to join, and they accumulate goods and don't send till you say so. Saves on shipping. For your money you get a us and uk address, which I like. Can you tell me more/website/contact? are they based in UAE? thanks

Just bought in the States, weight 58lb. Shipment cost: 41aed. Customs cost: 162aed Total: 203aed. You must know that Customs charge 5% of the total amount of the item (if amount above 270USD), this is the small print. 58 lb ???? Aramex minimum rate is 41 AED for 1 kg (2.2 lbs)...

Destination is UAE and it is the same rate from us or uk. I am getting one today, 73dhs from uk but usually order from USA. 1Kg from Either place is the same, so just put in UAE and the weight. edited by Teabag on 25/10/2011 edited by Teabag on 25/10/2011

I just got mine :D. I'd been thinking about it for a while and the half-price offer sealed the deal! I am a little nervous about the battering my credit card is now about to take, though...

s&s is awesome and very handy, even if you do not use it very often it is a one off registration fee for lifetime, and when you need it is good to have it ready, as the registratiion takes some time. 82 aed is about halfprice.

It's 45US to join so this is a great deal if it's for your joining fee. We've used the service quite a few times and we are well impressed. :)
