This is silly - maybe the OP is a 25 year old to whom a 60 year old seems ancient. What does it matter what someone else's perspective on age means and how they address it. Who knows IRL some of the aghast ones may look far older than their actual age, your lifestyle reflects your age, not the years you've lived.
I think that oopsiedaisy was aghast at you thinking that someone who is 60 plus is old! :O
Spot on Joice B. So the "forgotten l" made it even worse :-(
Is she mobile during the day? The club I go to have ladies her age group and are lovely and warm. I'm close to her age group and I enjoy the weekly activities.

Old?????? Hmm, let's see what the other ladies have to say about that.
Rather than looking at age, I would look at hobbies. Does she p,ay bridge, play golf, likes to read etc. There are like minded groups for basically all interest. Or maybe she likes the EW coffee mornings.
Yes I just notices I have missed the 'l' in 'Old' in the caption. and I cannot edit the caption now. :l

Hello,
My Mother-in-law lives with me and my husband. We both work and we don't have kids. Everyday we go home evening around 8-9pm and morning we go back to work. Poor lady is home arrested. She has no any entertainment at home and she gets bored alone.
Is there any activities in Dubai where we can send her? ie any ladies clubs/ get-together here for old ladies or any other activities? She is an Arab 60+ years old.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
TIA
