I heard a few weeks ago that there were discounts on traffic fines - does anyone know if this still applies? It may have just been for Ramadan or Eid or something.
The discount is not showing up online but maybe it is only applicable in the office. Or maybe it is no longer applicable at all!

AD & Sharjah fines are already discounted. Dubai has made an exeption a couple month back (for a short periode) to encourage drivers to renew their registration. Sharjah fines are discounted??? When??

Does anybody know if you also get a discount on Salik fines? Do you need to go in person to avail the discount? I have checked online and mine don't appear to be discounted, however I had two fines in AD that are already discounted by 50% on the website..... TIA

According to the article it applies to fines received on or before September 10th and mine were received after that so it looks like I have to pay the whole lot :(

I think there was a deadline on it (Nov 3rd maybe or somewhere around then). The discount showed up on the police website for me when it was active. I re-registered about 3 weeks ago though so can't check to see if my fines have gone back to their normal rates.
