Does anyone know of a wedding blessing officiant who can hold a blessing outside of a church and who respects all religions? The couple will be legally married already, but want a civil/spiritual blessing afterwards as they are of two different religions.

Just be sure when you hire one you are clear on the times and the day. I got a phonecall the day before the blessing of my wedding to say the officiant/minister had had a different start time of our wedding to me and was going to be on the other side of Dubai for another wedding an hour earlier so wouldnt be able to get to us in time. Not sure where the communication had got broken down but it was one of the things i should have checked we had got right. I could have done without this kind of stress the day before. Although we were both late in the end so it worked out okay my advice to anyone getting married is to make sure the timings etc are all understood. I met with Helen who a couple of ladies have recommended but unfortunately she couldn't do our wedding as she was away but i really liked her. edited by Bracey777 on 15/05/2012 edited by Bracey777 on 15/05/2012

Wow thanks, will check her out! She is based her in Dubai? We've spent ages finding the perfect location which we have finally done and now I'm a little stressed that I won't be able to find someone to conduct the ceremony :( Looks like the infamous 'Pastor Dan' no longer does it and Rev Steve is not available on our date. http://www.helenschrader.com/ Ladies take a look at Helen's website, we have booked her for our blessing in Nov and has been truely amazing, she also conducted our friends wedding :-)

Hi Elle T - sorry, I'm new to this forum and can't figure out how to send a PM. Just wondering if your husband is still doing this as my fiance and I are planning a wedding in December and looking for someone to do the blessing ceremony (non legal and not in a church). Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks Hi there, My husband can do this for you, and most couples who come to him, are from different religious beliefs. 050 5671 434 edited by katiep on 14/05/2012

Ach, I thought I'd replied already! I have a friend in Fujairah who can do this. E-mail me khoury at null dot net if you'd like to get in touch with her.

This chap sounds ideal for you, but you might have to pay for his ticket out to Dubai: http://www.inter-faith.net/weddings.htm He is the long-term partner of an old friend of mine, though I've never met him.
