Hello I have heard that there is a shortage of yellow fever vaccine in Dubai. Does anyone know where I could get it?

TIA x

I went to the Mankhool travel clinic yesterday and had a vg experience. Was seen asap and ended up getting 6 different jabs incl yellow fever. Cost about AED650 in total. Hth x

I went to Al Mankhool on July 2nd and was able to get the Yellow Fever vaccine. I recommend you get there right at 9 when it opens. Its not the most organized system so I can't even imagine how it gets when its super crowded. I got there at like 8:45 and had to wait outside the gait until they opened, but hey, I was the first to get my vaccines that day. Make sure you bring cash because they don't accept card and there is no ATM in the building!

As of the 3 July, they had run out at the Al Baraha Hospital. They were expecting new yellow fever vaccines to arrive in 1 months time. I am not sure about Al Mankhool - they don't usually answer the phone (!) so best to go there early and ask when you arrive.

I could be wrong, and I know nothing of a shortage, but when my daughter had her last round of vaccinations at al zahra hospital the paediatrician recommended that she have the yellow fever vaccination too and I was under the impression he was offering to do it there? We didn't get it as I felt two needles was enough for one day but have been considering it although I'm not sure how 'necessary' it is? I'm all for vaccinating but also a little wary of going over the top with meds etc.

You need to attend the travel centre at Al Mankool Health Centre, I think they are the only place authorised to give this restricted injection. If you do a search on EW you will find more details about this. As it is Ramadan I suggest to check opening hours.
