Christmas suddenly becomes irrelevant, something from another time and place (well for me anyway!) This happens to me!! hard to get the Christmas feeling here :( What about the Australian and New Zealand ladies here (and anyone else relevant), who are also used to celebrating Christmas with a [b'>barbie on the beach[/b'>? I personally love a hot Christmas day (have only ever had one white Christmas) but now I have the Wiggles song stuck in my head...aahhh, gonna be humming it all day!

When you purchase 10 of something at the supermarket. It's not even your favourite brand, you just don't know when you may see it again....

... when a 3m walk into a shop / fast food outlet is allegedly so unbearable that car horns go into overtime ... when setting up home you actually consider buying a melamine dinner service for the lack of choice (ok... that was Qatar!!) ... giving up trying to explain to a UK bank why you can only give them a PO Box address and not a house number and street name The lack of house no./st name has caused me a lot of hassle so far..

You've given up using indicators, because when you do, the moron behind closes up the gap - a hand out the window is more effective.

You get really good at speaking in Pigeon English. Backside Spinneys please. Any form of direction to taxi drivers must be done in three words or less as a lot of drivers stop listening after the third word!
