My Ergo is over five years old, has carried all three of my children, has been loaned to a friend who used it for a year and to numerous other friends for holidays etc... and it's still in perfect condition. The Ergo is awesome and worth its weight in gold! :D

Boba 3G baby carrier is super. So comfy and easy to get on and off. Has a lovely little hood for sleeping and supporting head. I bought mine on Luxelittle.com. Around 500 dhs. Lots of cute designs. Read reviews on the internet. They are all great. It is suitable from newborn x

I also use the ergo. Works great, sure gets warm due to body heat but think all carriers will. I love the fact that it has a pocket! Worth a lot so you can put some essentials in it. Keys, nappy some cash etc.

I was given a Close baby carrier http://www.closeparent.com/Default.aspx?tabid=186&CategoryID=301&List=0&SortField=ProductName%2cProductName&Level=1&ProductID=5531 and both I and bubs love it! It settles her immediately and is very comfortable to wear. Only downside is the material is a bit warm for here - ok inside, but not great if you're going to be out in the heat.

I am not familiar with the performance model so can't say much about it - we have the sports one. But I would say that, given that bub will be propped against you, he will receive your body heat and there is no/little circulation of air between the two of you so I would suspect any model will not work very well for the summer months. In the winter ours was perfectly fine. Having said that, when I take DS for a walk in his stroller, his back is always sweated up in the summer (despite the Aerosleep mat we added which is supposed to aid ventilation) but at least his front is fully exposed.

considering the weather here, i was thinking of getting theErgobaby performance model. but reviews say that the original model is the most comfortable. Which model do you'll use, and does the baby feel hot considering the weather here?

Sling from birth and then Bush Baby thereafter (from Amazon). Wish I had had Bush baby for my first 3 - tried most of the others.

I agree - definitely the Ergo. We bought a couple of others incl. a sling, and as bub grew he didn't fit anymore and the sling didn't look like it would hold the weight. It is super comfortable for mum as the weight falls on the hip. We always use the Ergo when we travel so that we don't have to take the pram with us (have ended up buying prams and car seats at both our countries of origin so that when we visit family the full set-up is already there). It is the best to go through airports (and do sight-seeing provided that the weather is not too hot) although in the UK and Australia they did ask me to take the baby off the carrier when going through the security check - anywhere else (Hong Kong, Spain, Middle East) has been fine. We bought ours at a shop called Bauhaus (sells funky fashion so quite surprised to find it there) in Ibn Batuta. We paid something like AED 425 at the shop.

I also recommend the Ergo, i had a Baby Bjorn for the first year or so and I did really like it, but my baby was getting too big for it and I wanted something that would fit her well for travelling for the next few months at least. I opted for the Ergo as it would do my big girl now and also if we have another baby, I would get full use out of it all over again from newborn. Wow, the difference was unreal, so much more comfortable for me to wear, and as it's all soft fabric, easier to roll up into a bag when not using. I bought mine from Smitten in Dubai Marina Mall, worth going there to try one out rather than buying online if you're unsure, but I really cannot recommend Ergo highly enough.

I second the Ergo . My DS1 still fits in it comfortably and he's 15kg + and over 1 metre tall . It's soft , squashes easily into a bag and is a godsend for air travel . I've just taken my DS2 all over the place in it while on holiday in the Alps . He's a hefty boy and sitting on my back it just felt like he was giving me a cuddle . I've never owned anything else but have converted lots of friends who used other brands .

well i asked the same thing few days back. if you want a baby carrier rather then sling ( which i don't think are suitable for everybody) then ergo baby carrier is best so far. i have just ordered it yesterday- it cost me around 375.
