First and foremost, if you are breastfeeding, please don't go cutting swathes out of your diet! You should be having a balanced diet (including fat) and eating at least 1600-1800 calories a day.
6 weeks post-partum is really early to be worried about weight - 9 months on, 9 months off and all that. However, if you really can't stop eating, simply don't buy any unhealthy snacks - try dried fruit, nuts, rice-cakes, chopped veg instead... and lots of water. Apparently, so many people in developed countries are so chronically dehydrated that their bodies have forgotten how to read thirst cues, and instead interpret them as hunger cues!
Low Gi- things like brown rice, wholemeal bread etc is good and maybe try 5-6 small meals rather than 3 bigger meals to keep your energy levels up but still helping to lose weight
best book I ever read was "french women don't get fat", basically just eat what you usually do, but try and reduce your portion size by 30 percent and if you have something, like chocolate, don't eat the whole block. (wishing I could follow this advice :) ) I lost a lot of weight without even trying after reading it, think it's time I read it again.

stop eating carbs- no bread, pasta, rice....lost 10 kgs in 4 months - not painful, no starvation- still making tons of milk for lo.
low GI is the best way to go- the paleo way of eating is best....i would have lost even more of i excercised..
Leen, if you have recently become a mother again and have such a full life I wouldn't worry too much about your weight. Just try to eat healthy food, but as much as you need/want.
Be nice to yourself. You are doing an amazing job raising three children AND working full time! Give yourself and your body time to readjust and when you're a bit more settled focus on loosing some weight.
And have no time to exercise?
Buy the wii fit? Go to a nutritionist?
Any ideas/suggestions?
Right, I'm a mom of 3 (youngest 6 weeks) and back to work full time :(
TIA
