I like Nathan. And shortened to Nat when older... It can also get shortened to Nate, which is popular at the moment. Other suggestions include James, Alexander and Tygh (Scottish Tadgh). Enjoy the fun discussion. We had a shortlist of 3 names and chose once DS was born. Funnily enough my friend from mother's group named her son one of those names a few months later!:) edited by TwoKids on 17/08/2011 Oh not heard of tygh before will have to research that name :)

I love the name Scott, strong, short, simple to pronounce, and easy to spell.

Lachlam is my husband (Scottish) favorite but apparently I (Spanish) cannot pronounce it properly. This is my problem with some Scottish names! I need one that it is easy to pronounce in other languages.

My vote is still for Lachlan, :) its on our list if we have another boy, although it would probably be Maxwell Lachlan. I also like Liam, but is that Irish? edited by kiwispiers on 16/08/2011
