A friend of mine has just picked up two mum cats with 9 kittens between them....She is in desperate need of homes for them, or someone to foster the younger lot of kittens until they can leave the mum. She also wants to get them mums spayed as soon as they are old enough.

Feline friends understandable can't help, however if there is anyone out there looking for a kitten please let me know. 4 are definitly old enough to leave their mum, but I havent seen the other 5, so I don know how old they are.

great that yoour friend took in so many ;)...they look pretty good and the white mum, once she gets herself cleaned up is lovely. Can I suggest that once the moms are spayed that your friend tries to rehome them if possible? It will be difficult on them to be put back on the streets after having regular food/water/attention unless they are going back where there is someone who will feed them. It will most likely take longer but all my mums have been adopted and many along with the last kitten, so, it is not hopeless :)

Mum looks so grateful and contented...... The babies are just too precious for words. This is a definate case of a picture says a thousand words. Hopefully you won't have to look too hard for forever homes. Good Luck.

The mum's are pretty friendy too, and quite grateful for the help in caring for the kittens. One lot of kittens is currently at Energetic panacea vets, however they need to be moved by tomorrow so we are still desperately looking for a temporary foster home for them.... Pictures of the youngest lot :) http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150803453930576.733777.874500575&type=1

To be honest thats what I would have done.... The reason she picked them all up was because she was going to give a home to one of them, but when it came to it, she felt bad leaving the other 3 behind....When the guys from the garage saw her putting them in the car they came over and told her there was another mum with 5 kittens :( One of the mums is already at the vets to be spayed soon, but the other one's kittens are still too young. The mums will be put back where they came from, but it would be nice to find homes for the kittens which I know wont be easy!

Without sounding harsh, why do people just 'pick them up'. They'll survive perfectly well by themselves. The best thing to do is leave them, then catch spay and release when the time comes.
