I'm in my 34th week now and baby starts hopping all over my tummy at night. Like she goes completely berserk!! NON STOP kicks and blow and I cannot sleep. Thats why I sit her posting at nearly 3 AM.

Is this an indication of the sleepless nights ahead? Will she be like this when she's out too?

When I was pregnant, DS would really wake up at 10pm and I too was worried that I would have a baby that would be wide awake at that time, but he has been fine and is usually fast asleep by 10pm.

I've also heard that when you are relaxed/ resting, bubs is more active, but when you're up and moving, bubs gets rocked to sleep, so basically.... who knows! rofl! Yup, all this I've heard. But no matter how much I walk at night she's up and dancing...as if she wants to go for a walk around the womb too.

LOL - indeed it is! It's natures way of slowly preparing you for what lies ahead :D I remember DD doing the acrobats between 11pm - 1am, and then again 5am! Low and behold these were her waking times to feed when she was born :) edited by plumie on 24/01/2011 OH MY GOD!!! :( *waahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Also, it is quieter and you are more attentive towards the bump in the night as compared to day when you are busy moving around, getting things done, you notice the movements more. I used to feel bub moving pretty much all the time as I am at home and didn't have much to do in the last month (since my mum was here :D )

DS was the same when I was pregnant, moving non-stop esp at night. He moves alot while sleeping since he was a newborn & we had to move him to his cot from moses at 6 weeks as he kept bumping his face into the sides of the moses. He's 14 months now, & he still moves nonstop while sleeping, but he sleeps well for long hours since he was a newborn.
