Oh Zeynab. I'm so sorry you're going through all of this. Do seek that second opinion even if only to reassure yourself. Many OB's now do not necessarily encourage a D&C. Many recommend waiting and letting the body finish the process naturally. This may not be for you, but it's worth researching and thinking about. I've had a D&C and while it's a 'simple', painless procedure, it makes everything so medical and I found it hard to grieve fully until a long, long time later. I'm praying you will find good news, but I'm hoping that you can find a way to be strong through all of this. PLEASE do not shut yourself off. So many of us know the pain of a miscarriage, blighted ovum or molar pregnancy...sometimes pain shared is pain halved. Love and prayers to you. xx edited by Green-ish on 04/01/2012

Dr saying its a molar pregnancy n some cells are still active thats why is decreasing bit slowly n she advice for DNC, going to another doctor for 2nd opinion am totally lost n cant control on myself its a big loss feeling very low n want to go far away n stay alone.

Zeynab i have been down that alley just few months back. and sorry gal, but no good news came out. mine stopped growing after 6 weeks. first bhcg was fine but second after 48 hrs was too low. still i went to 3 different doc's in hope but no use. everybody said the same thing.just believe in God. whatever happens, happens for a reason as the other posters said here. there is always hope as after the miscarriage i concieved in 3 months without medications!! We'll pray for you and keep us posted. edited by manubhadauria on 03/01/2012

Please advice what should I do now, beta hcg looks fine but dr statement is different. There's nothing you should or shouldn't do - try and not worry. I really think hanging on too much science stresses people out far more than it's worth. We don't run all these hormone level tests in the UK because, to be blunt, if you have a healthy pregnancy, it will run its course and if you don't, then it won't. Science only tries to rationalise and guess what Nature has known and been doing perfectly well since time began.

God be with you - Like HAK below, I also conceived two weeks after I miscarried. I miscarried at 7 weeks and then waited almost 3 months for my period to return before seeing a gynae. When my period didn't return, I went to the appointment, I was told I was 10 weeks pregnant and I had no idea! We conceived when we least expected to - miracles do happen so don't lose faith. All the horrible doubts went through my mind too. There is a growing body of research that suggests you don't have to wait 2 or 3 months before trying to conceive again, in fact, some doctors believe that you are really fertile after a miscarriage. Please however don't take this as medical advice - it's just some information I came across which helped me when I went through my miscarriage. edited by M on 02/01/2012

I had the same - discovered at 8 weeks that the pregnancy had stopped developing at 4 or 5. I'm with Abby'n'Christina on this one though - miscarriage is horrible, but happens for a reason. It's nothing to do with what you may have done or not done, thought, eaten or drank, but everything to do with the miracle that is life - think of all the hundreds of millions of things that have to link up and happen successfully to bring about a healthy baby... and healthy pregnancies still happen 4 out of 5 times. If you do miscarry, take your time to recover, both physically and mentally. Don't listen to anyone who isn't supportive, and remember that your husband will also be upset and will need support. ... and the "good" thing is that this doesn't blight your chances for having lots of children in the future. We conceived my DD 2 weeks after I miscarried.

awww... u poor thing... been down that alley... can only pray that things work out for u... if the doc is convinced that the scan size is showing an immature fetal growth... then u really should prepare urself for the worst - please be strong... and don't be disheartened... u can always try again... keep in mind that a miscarriage is nature's way of eliminating an imperfect pregnancy... i'm also a strong believer in the power of prayer... so please keep praying... miracles always stem out from the most impossible situations... God bless... and keep us posted... Try and keep urself busy over the next couple of days till ur repeat HCG test comes back... the stress u take now will not help this situation at all...
