Suggestions and idiot proof directions please! Also on a budget, so we're starting off small.
Thanks

to update for those looking for aquariums...that shop on the ground floor of Lulu's is AMAZING! Set our selves up today with the works for lil miss's B'day, cost next to nothing, great quality and the dudes while not speaking a great deal of english do appear to know their stuff. Also. they have feed for most animals of a good vet quality for a fraction of the cost of what it cost at the likes of the pet shop at Town center springs. Pet heaven!

I hope yours last longer than ours did - 3 fish, 1 lasted a week, the others copped it shortly after. Think they had a fungus but even adding bleach to the water didn't help.

Hi Arohadxb, sorry to intrude into your thread , just want to say thx to all ladies cuz i've been looking for an aquarium & fish for 1 week now and didn't know where to buy. BTW, thought you're planning to move to Viet Nam ? Tia looks like it's fallen through for this year at least, and lil miss has been after fish for years and it's her birthday, so...I figure if VN (or elsewhere) crops up again they'll be relatively easy to re home. Thanks for all your help on that too.

Ditto the thanks as I've also been considering getting a small fish set up seeing as DH wont allow me to have a cat or dog :( Then again I'd probably have 2 of each plus install a small pony in the garden given a free reign ;)

ours once caught a dragonfly (pretty sure he yawned and it flew in his mouth) and got such a fright he spat it right out and mr dragonfly lived to tell the tale. Just an over grown noisy decorative cushion really.... LOL - once, i woke up to find a house full of featehrs and a dead bird - however on closer inspection the bird had a bold patch of featehrs on its neck - seemed it had flown into the window and the cat had licked it to death ....

We bought our fish tank set up in the fish shop in Lulu's, they were by far the cheapest. As for fish, we bought some from Dubai Garden Centre - they were cheap, cheerful and strong! - and from Petland, but they're pricier. excellent news, Thanks

There is an aquairum shop in Dragon Mart that sells all the accessories. The staff also seem quiet knowledgable and speak good English.
