Buy all your shampoo etc over there as so much cheaper and then dump before you come back, more space for shopping! Karon very quiet but a short taxi to busier resorts depending on your likes and dislikes. Take boat tour to PHI PHI but not the one that stops on a deserted island for thew afternoon. Go see the lady boys in Patong at night, worth a giggle. Make sure you try the thai facials and massage but ask for oil or be black and blue. Have a great holiday!

They also have Boots pharmacy. They sell the best Mozzie lotion/liquid. Johnson and Johnson in a green bottle, safe for your little one and even on yr face. It looks just like the baby shampoo or baby lotion bottles. Hv a gr8 time Curly!! We're off there in the summer for my bro's wedding on Surin beach. Can't wait.

Carefoure in Juncylone shopping centre in Phuket/Patong is big and will fit all nneds, Tescos, Big C', Ocean Plaza also has all basics. Plenty of places for nappies etc......, even the 24 hour 'mini marts; in Phuket also have nappies.

Apart from Tescos there is also the Villa Market in Chalong Bay. It is a great store similar to Spinneys/Waitrose and perhaps even better since they also stock organic for the most and very ymmy deli items. It is about the size of Waitrose in Dubai Marina Mall. Try and check whether they keep a list of stock for online ordering.

We travelled there last year with two small boys and yes we went to Tescos! They did sell nappies but I don't think they were pampers, think they were brands that I had never heard off. Sorry can't help with the formula Q, but I would be guessing No. Tescos did have quite a good selection, but it wasn't like Tesco's back in the UK. Hope that helps.

Hey just wondering, those of you who have travelled with LOs to Phuket on your hols, what do you recommend me taking for my 18 month old DD and/what can I get there? Do I need to take enough nappies for 2 wks or how about formula? She won't drink cow's milk so is on the 1-3 year old formula? I'm guessing I will be able to get nappies but her particular formula might be an issue, maybe? Any other suggestions? Did I hear right that there is a TESCO in Patong? Going on Friday so would appreciate any and all advice. Thanks for your help Curly
