I did mine in EDI as well in Al Quoz. Extremely happy. Got shift duty classes... I ha've tried couple instructors. Would highly reccomend Flora... Great at the beggining for getting confidence. Also Eman for a bit more aggressive driving and she does a really good job preparing you for the exams. Though was not a big fan of Candy... Got really down after two classes with her. And for exam better go on Tuesday, as the examiners are better.
Could you tell me a bit more about Candy's way of teaching as I might be transferring my file from Al Qusais to Al Quoz just for her. How was Flora better?

I would highly recommend Emirates driving institute. They were extremely good- just make sure to chose a male trainer, I didn't feel good with female instructor and changed to male later on. Passed my test in first attempt. No hidden/surprise charges.
My daughter recently took lessons with EDI (manual) in Al Quoz and passed second time. It is cheaper if you can fix the same days and times each week. My dd is at school and couldn't do this so she did the bulk of the lessons during the Xmas holidays. So she could do lessons every day we took the shift package which costs 6,800 Dhs up to and including the test. If you fail you have to do another 8 x 30 min lessons and pay another test fee, in total just over another 1K. So all up it was about 8K.
She had two manual instructors Candy and Farah. Farah was by far the better instructor. You can request a specific instructor when you book.
You can do 4 x 30 min lessons at a time, so a 2 hour block. This works well and gets you through the 40 required lessons in 10 days of lessons.

Have recent experience at emirates driving institute.. Not too bad but have not tried others so no comparison. One advice: do not go for vip course. Makes no difference just much more money. So i changed course after 1st set of lessons. Have gone thru 3 instructors - all average. Passed from 2 nd attempt: its question of luck/ examiner mood that particular day. 1 st attempt 26 faults (12 is still a pass) within 6 min of driving (really?!) they were not pointed out to me. The report looked like piece of S. 2nd attempt- no faults, pass. Go figure. At my 2nd time had girl in car who put wrong gear in, hit the curb and still got pass.
Anyways, good luck to your daughter.
I also got from Emirates Driving Institute. There is no comparison.i think you should go for this option.

Just a follow-up post before my question disappears into eternity of old posts.. Haha :)
Isn't there anyone that can recommend a driving school (as recent experience as possible)? :)
Good evening ladies!
My daughter (finally) wants to get a drivers license and I figure this is a great place to ask for recommendations of which driving institute to choose :)
What are your experiences? :)
