Anyone else fed up with the weather this year? I have lived here for 15 years and never seen temperatures of 37 degrees in February!! When will it cool down?? Definitely NOT funny anymore!

I'm still debating whether or not to wash the car... DH went to the carwash a day before the sandstorm (even if I told him to have it on a weekend instead) and he was really ****** for the past 3 days seeing our car almost covered with dust & sand, not to mention the rain after the storm! lol:biggrin: women's intuition pays but at times, men won't listen. edited by mommypie2015 on 25/02/2015

Hello LT & Nomad I hope you & yours are well & happy :) Im in Dubai for a few days . The wind has been making it really uncomfortable blowing the sand around. On the other hand the cloud cover has kept the temperature down. So quite nice to walk as long as you can keep the sand out of your eyes. It was freezing when I was at home & they had some snow again yesterday. That's three times in about two months. !!! That's more than I ever remember. Im praying they have a good Summer. Wouldn't it be lovely to distribute the heat a little more evenly & the cold of course :) Hi Neamhi, good to hear you are all well. We are all fine thanks. Enjoy your visit. xxx

Ski slopes in Western Canada closing for the season , snow has melted. Maritimes buried in snow some cars in the streets almost covered and folks digging tunnels out of their houses. The world weather seems to be on its head at the mo. It is weird, snow on lemon trees in fruit is a strangely beautiful sight. Never thought I'd be out de- icing the path in Cyprus! On a serious note.....be careful that the frozen lemons don't get too heavy for the branches. We had a freak snowstorm in Sept last year ( seriously !!!) leaves and some fruit on the trees, massive branches were just ripped off with the extra weight. The storm was nick named " Treemageddon ". Frozen lemons in your G&T I think The howling gales we had last week took care of any vulnerable branches, and not a few of the roof tiles. The goats are not happy, their shed is now a shipping hazard in the Med! Oh goodness, share the lemons with them that is if they eat lemons. We had one who ate the seat off my old Vespa.....
