I would definitely recommend the Arabian Ranches Golf Club as a venue... They do everything for you, food, decorations, table settings etc etc.

Anybody know of a good place to have a baby shower? I'm an event planner and I recently organised a lovely afternoon tea style baby shower at THE FARM at Al Barari... it was gorgeous and they let you share high tea platters... the venue is fab (especially if ur clubbing it with a maternity photoshoot!) happy to share photos of the venue ... mail me on horizonmum2 at gmail dot com

Park Hyatt afternoon tea is good and the price is reasonable.

Le Pain Quotdien on JBR seems popular, as does afternoon tea at Mashrabiya at Fairmont the Palm.

I went to a baby shower in H hotel. It seems to be a popular venue for birthday parties, engagement parties.. Possibly the price is right and they size off the area according to the needs of the event. That's actually the only one I went to in a public location. Every other baby shower was in the girls home, or the home of a close friend or relative.

Anybody know of a good place to have a baby shower? Depends on what you are looking for and if you want to do the catering yourself or not. Some of my friends did an afternoon tea, and sometimes they rent a function room in of the if the girl's buildings (if your apartment building has one). Then everyone brings some food or drinks. It's more private, especially if women attending are covered and want to be able to dress up and uncover.
