Had the most HORRIFIC of moves at the weekend - no matter what the situation we always seem to choose wrong!

They were an hour late, a whole box of stuff went missing/lost/disappeared, me and my husband unpacked the whole kitchen and our bedroom boxes (even though they are supposed to), they dropped my BBQ and the handle smashed in two... best of all... went to get my watch out my jewellery box Sat evening and it was gone! So upset about this.

I have emailed the manager yesterday, still awaiting a response... absolutely devastated at the experience. I had to argue my point from start to finish on Friday with their point of contact over the telephone, about how I thought it was unreasonable to leave my stuff on the ground floor with security for hours on end while they made the first trip to the new place (needed 2 trips). They wouldn't have taken responsibility for missing/damaged items if I had agreed to leave them there. I had a member of staff ask to drive with me in my car to the new place as "there was no room in the truck" and he fell asleep in the passenger seat - then got to the new place and sat on the floor and took a break!!!

I really cant see me moving for a very long long time!!

Thanks Londonmum! They are nasty and malicious and I cant wait to post the name of them if I do not get what I deserve. Couch Potato - I was doing absolutely nothing that would ever suggest I was under the influence of alcohol! It is disgusting isnt it? I was shaking when I read that yesterday! Oh infact wait... it may have been the fact I was standing doing the Macarena on the balcony... And now you'll be all over the FB page ;)

I also just have to add that they replied to my complaint email in the most disgusting and shocking of manners. I have heard some horror stories in my time of customer complaints being treat with disrespect but these cowboys have stooped to a level I didn't even think any person/company that had any morals or integrity could... So, after it took them 2 and a half days to reply to me, after I threatened them with the police twice, they have fabricated a story so unbelievable to try and scare me NOT to go to the police! Apparently, I was "drinking all day throughout the day and move" and said "it is clear you were consuming large amounts of alcohol", then "we are stunned to discover you drove to JVT whilst under the influence"... Lies! Complete lies! They packed up all of my bottles of alcohol, what did I do, keep a bottle of wine by my side all day swigging it repeatedly? From 10:30 in the morning??! I have reported them to the police - no way did their defamatory comments scare me!!

You should report the stolen items to the police and make it clear to the moving company that you're doing so. Sorry you went through this! Just done this yesterday! Went to the police, made the report, he called the company immediately after in front of us and told him to go to the station today. Police told me he is going to tell him to pay, if he refuses, it will go to court. I can not see the Court being happy with the company allowing it to get that far over "missing items" worth just under 3,000 AED. Its minor in the eyes of the law. Lets see what happens but I am not holding my breath!

I wont post the name at the minute, I want to wait on their reply to my email - but If I don't get what I want and what I feel I deserve I will absolutely name and shame them! The guy said they were regularly mentioned on Expat Woman (funny because I didn't see their name mentioned once when I searched through threads - tell tale sign, hindsight is marvellous) - but this one guy has been terrible with his "customer service" and his story has changed repeatedly trying to get his story in place so that they would only have to reimburse for as little as possible. His character has well and truly shone through since this, and I wouldn't put it past him to be searching this site and across social media for my scathing reports on them - which I will most definitely be doing if I don't have this resolved.
