Hi, I've not been here long either and would love to meet up! Can anyone do the MOE coffee morning? I thought there used to be one at Dubai mall but I can't seem to see one!

Hi nattysands, sounds good! I have an appointment that day but will try to rearrange. What time is the coffee morning? What school does your son go? Would be great to meet you :)

Hi Londonmum, If you can make the coffee morning at Emirates Hills Golf Club on Thursday I am planning on going. I also haven't been here very long and have a 7 year old son. Would be great to meet you if you can make it.

I would love to meet up for coffee, if anyone fancies it. I wouldn't say I'm exactly shy but am when it comes to a bigger group lol Like previously said before, it's a bit hard to organise as you can't msg privately here. Not sure if it is allowed here but if we say we meet in particular place on a give day at given time and each of us holds something to be recognized, is it allowed? Hi ladies We urge our members to arrange to meet other members at our coffee mornings for the first time, and then you can take it from there :) any other efforts to arrange a meet-up via our forum will be removed, as per our forum rules: http://www.expatwoman.com/dubai/monthly_faqs_forum_rules_8392.aspx EW Admin

Unfortunately there is no messaging system on here so the only way you can meet up is at the official EW coffee mornings...

Hello and welcome! I have been here for 3 weeks now and found the coffee mornings a brilliant way to meet wonderful women. I started going to them after being here just a week and must say I met some of the kindest women ever! I celebrated my birthday last week and they made it extra special! Look on the events page here on the EW site and check out the coffee mornings. They have them in different areas so there is bound to be one near you. They also have a mums group too which might work for you. The best thing you can do is try and go to one of these. I am in the marina, not sure where you are, but I am always eager to meet new people. I am from the US not that it matters at all :o) Best of luck to you and again- WELCOME!

Im hoping this is ok to post here... Good Evening All... :) Any suggestions? I am quite a friendly person but have been here for about a month and just not sure how to find a friendly face! I have a couple of friends that have moved to Dubai but they seem to make their friends through work. I work from home as well as being a mum to my lil ( well he's 7 now) man so not so easy. I used to live in Asia as an expat many years ago and made good friends who I am still friends with to this day through sites such as these. Is anyone else in my position? Or is it just me lol If anyone fancies a coffee and a natter next week, please do let me know! Thanks :) Hello Londonmum, Just feel the same as you, not so easy to be new here but still hoping things will come and change. Now also school started so I am trying hard to make friends there Also have a 6 years old boy so perhpas we could get together for the coffee, it would be a good beginning for us both :-) Let me know if you want us to get together for a chat :-) cheers Agnes

Hi LondonMum and welcome to Dubai. There are lots of groups on facebook and other forums to make friends but we're not allowed to mention them here !! Try googling or searching facebook for any combinations of Dubai, expat, women, ladies. mums, British or whatever plus most communities have groups so search for where you live such as Springs, Mirdif, Ranches etc. Good luck :)

Hi Londonmum, welcome to Dubai! You'll find lots of friendly faces, many of them newcomers like yourself, at our ExpatWoman coffee mornings. We were all new once and remember how it feels. Come and join us next week! http://www.expatwoman.com/dubai/monthly_events_whats_on.aspx#CoffeeMorning :)
