Absolutely - for me anyway. As I said, there's a few little strays but they are very fine and not very dark. It's so nice not to have to plan ahead if you think you might go swimming or whatever. And the time saved getting to the beautician, waiting, getting waxed, getting home is also a bonus. As well as just looking nicer and being "tidy". No complaints about my "Map of Tassie" these days, LOL. I don't know about the quality of the practioners here though. I had mine done in Sydney, but since then the technology has probably improved, I'm sure. There was a horror story here a few months back about a lady who had some lasering of her face for her wedding or something and they burnt it. Can't remember the details now, but I would chose your practitioner here very carefully. It sounds like the one you have found has competently managed your underarms... Can I ask where you've been going to get it done?

I had my bikini line done 11 years ago. It's still fine. Maybe a couple of little strays here or there. I costed it at the time to be about 18 months worth of waxing before I "broke even". Waxing for me was terrible - I would end up in big purple welts that would take 3 weeks' to fade and then I'd be due for a wax again. 11 years' on it has paid for itself and more because of the spontaneity it's given me and the time it's saved me. Wow! So - its worth it then? :)

Short sharp bursts of what can only be best described as a snapping of a rubber band. It’s a lot less uncomfortable than waxing and I've been told that it’s much less painful than electrolysis (never had that done myself). I haven't screamed or shouted "Ouch" yet, so its bearable :-) The lady at 'La Contour' is so quick and precise with each shot, it's over before you know it. edited by Diamante on 04/10/2011

I have only had one session of bikini line IPL and the hair has reduced, although not quite as much as I had hoped - going for second session later this week. I do unfortunately have very coarse hair so it may take a bit of shifting though.;)

I have done 4 sessions of IPL for my underarms, and I can say it was worth every penny (sorry Dirham) :) I have no more dark thick black hair (yuk!), except now just a few 'baby hairs' which will surely enough disappear with the remaining sessions. I was told I could shave in between sessions if I wanted but to be honest the hairs left are that faint, you can hardly tell they're there. I've still managed to get away with wearing sleeveless tops. I recommend this treatment to every woman who wants to remove any unwanted hair. I swear, it is by far the best money I have spent. :D Anyway, its now convinced me to go for Bikini and I remember a friend of a friend telling me its the best thing they ever did, which is what I feel about my underams. I just want to know if anyone has done this for their Bikini and how successful it was. Will I see quick enough results like I did for my underarms? edited by Diamante on 03/10/2011
