It could have been an all out war - Australia could have decided to rename the Pavlova as Australia, then the Kiwis really would have needed some gripe water :D Weet A bix - Pfft! Weetbix, ends there. weet-bix, agree :), in NZ the ad goes "....kiwi kids, are weet-bix kids' I think wikipedia (or some other equally as infallible website) recently confirmed the pavlova's kiwi origins!

we have vegemite AND marmite in NZ, but our marmite is nothing like the gloopy english marmite, its like vegemite but a little sweeter! Not sure how kiwis feel about eating "australia" though? How about weet-bix vs weet-a-bix?? NZ McDonalds do a burger called the "kiwiburger" which I think has beetroot in it. :)

[ Muse; think the Embassy is trying to contact you, you need to surrender passport :D Ha ha - they can try, but i'm holding onto my Vegemite (aka Australia) very tightly, breakfast wouldn't be same without it! BTW it can be bought from Spinneys usually, sometimes Carrefour as well if anyone needs a dose of bliss. For the record, I am really not keen on beetroot in burgers or anywhere else for that matter, and not so enamoured with fairy bread either, so I can probably hold onto my British passport a while longer....?

Crazy Americans who only eat peanut butter and jelly (jelly which is jam but they call it jelly like crazy people :D) Don't the Kiwis have their own version of Vegemite too?
