We took our Priori on board in economy and had no problems. The flight attendants were all very positive and eager to help. We didn't get asked about the brand of the seat on any of the flights we took.
Thanks for the reply, Slurp. That's what I thought. I've seen some conflicting statements out there in cyberspace. I think I'll just leave it behind since it will be too much work to drag it around for only a potential benefit. If I were assured I could use it, then I would. But I'm not going to struggle for a Maybe...I'm looking into alternatives now. Maybe CARES harness or Wiggle Wrapper if I can find one.
Thanks again!
Hi bananas
I was under the impression that you can't take the Maxi Cosi Priori on board - we check ours into the hold - due to the fact it requires a normal seatbelt (i.e. with diagonal strap as well as lap) to secure it, it isn't designed for just a lap belt i.e. a plane seat belt.
Here's what Emirates say:
'The car seat must be the forward facing type only and one that can be secured to the seat by the use of the lap seatbelt, and not a shoulder harness (2-point seatbelt) as per car vehicles.'

Ring and check, but as I say we've always had ours checked into the hold...
Hope this helps?
Hello all,
I've decided to take my 2.5 year old and my 13 month old babies on a flight to the US by myself. I am trying to plan the least stressful flight I can and it seems like having a carseat would be good for my toddler. I know she can sleep in it from many car experiences and she can't wiggle out of it like she does the plane's seat belts. Alternatively, my younger one might be able to sleep in it also, more comfortably than on the seat or floor. Has anyone successfully taken a Maxi Cosi priori car seat on Emirates Economy class before? Am I overestimating the usefulness of the seat?
Thanks for your thoughts. This may be the first of many questions from me :)
