Hello everyone,

Been in Dubai for 2 weeks now from the UK.
I know Dubai is known for a city where people come to shop, but everyone I spoke to; refer to fake designer watch, clothing etc... which still cost a lot compare to an everyday shop like Primark in the UK.
I have been to The mall of Emirates and City Center in Mirdif... they all offer same high street stores which can be pricey.

For you ladies from the UK, have you found a shop similar to Primark here?
I know some people might not like Primark, but it is a great please for all basics like socks, vest tops etc.

I love bargains in general so please if you know any great address... leave a comment :)

BTW, I live in the palm, so if anyone fancy a coffee, drop me a line...

Hi Anna, Where are your kids going to school ? My little boy has just gone into school to so I too will be out exploring this week ! I miss my Primark shopping didn't know George was here too ! Found the F&F last week is great definitely worth a trip ! X

Red Tag at Ibn Battuta & Arabian? Mall (Mushrif) is very similar to Primark in price & quality. I have only ever bought kids clothes there, which are fine, haven't looked at the adult stuff...

Go to Al Ghurair mall. They have MAX and also a huge R&B store that has cheap basics. There is also a Matalan store, George and Marks&Spencer, F&F.... <em>edited by Asti on 09/09/2014</em>

Hi AC, welcome to the UAE. There's no Primark, but for cheapy bits like Tshirs, vest tops, leggings etc, the best place is Max which you'll find in MCC, Oasis, Ibn Batutta. We also have Matalan and F&F (The tesco clothing range), Matalan you'll find in MCC or Lamcy plaza, F&F in Oasis. Both are more expensive than UK but still pretty cheap overall. Hello, thanks a lot for your reply... Did not know we had a Matalan and F&F here... great to know, will definitely to check them out. I use to go to Max in Bahrain... had not seen one here yet... so Thanks for the info. Cheers
