Hello, this is my first Xmas here and I am wanting to buy some lego juniors sets and the dubai prices are crazy. Amazon us is priced much better but I don't think they ship here. Can someone simply explain some options and with freight charges is it worth it? Or other uae/uk sites I may have missed. Thanks.

Amazon is the best place to buy toys, especially the big sets. The toys in Dubai are absolutely overpriced! For instance, V Tech toys on Amazon come to about half the price.

I agree with the last reply here from (Sanddy_Dogg). Better to buy on Amazon and use shop and ship Aramex or just get somebody to bring it over. Lego's are way to expensive here.

I have a Shop & ship account http://www.shopandship.com/ Sorry if I'm telling you something you already know, but..... You pay a one-off fee for your S&S account and you are given your own addresses in the US, UK and other countries. If you order from amazon.com you give your US S&S address and the item will be sent there. S&S will then forward the item on to the UAE where Aramex will deliver by courier to you or you can collect from the local Aramex office. You pay a shipping fee from the US to the UAE and it's based on weight. The rates are displayed on the S&S website and Amazon will give the shipping weight. With Lego I've found that even with the shipping costs it's still cheaper than buying here.

Lego is about a third more expensive here sadly! I order online and just get family to bring it over. Sometimes people sell second hand lego on dubizzle which is just as good, honestly my parents bring over lego that used to belong to my brother and I, and it's in perfect condition I do the same thing! We buy on Amazon and then family brings it over when they come. Or when I go back, I "stock" up to bring here for gifts.
