As DT said - they have been there for years, but originally they were all white. It has been interesting watching the colours creep into the mix. Counted 13 peacocks one day all perched on the wall ready for sleep at nightfall. Also delightful family of chickens nearer the Nakheel entrance, some lovely chicks every so often. BTW - be careful if you pull into the layby to watch them - have seen the Police frequently booking families for doing exactly that. The layby is actually the turning area for the U Turn!

Spotted them a week or two ago. Thought they might have come from inside the palace walls. There might be a petting zoo or something.

Someone has probably dumped some pet bunnies and they've bred, like, well bunnies. In 6 months there will be hundreds of the blighters.

Hello ladies - totally random question but has anyone else spotted the quite large herd of what look like domesticated bunny rabbits now living on the Al Sufouh Rd., just opposite Dubai College, on the grass outside the palace entrance? I have seen peacocks there previously but yesterday stopped to have a look (there is a layby opposite the tram station) and counted at least 12+ bunnies -- they look like pets but are happily munching grass or sheltering from the sun in the bushes. Mysterious!
