Hi all,
We are a family of four and are currently visiting Dubai to house hunt, we plan to arrive fully by August. We are considering this compound and . Our budget is 225k Can anyone please give some insight if they have lived there or know the area well. The kids will be going to Nord Anglia. Besides it being close to MOE what can one expect in this area in terms of grocery shopping and traffic .
Thanks pixxydixxy

Go have a look at the green community. My son is going to Nord Anglia too and it is only a short drive away. Lovely houses within your budget , townhouse or a bungalow . There are beautiful parks and swimming pools, tennis courts, playgrounds and a lovely community feel.

Rentals go very quickly here. You need to be ready to get a deposit down immediately if you see something you want. Best do your research on specific areas prior to viewing properties you intend to apply for. No harm in scoping out various villas as part of your research, but until you're in the position to jump on something you like immediately (content you know exactly what you're after and where) it might help to manage the kids' expectations a little or not take them on those recces. Good luck finding your dream home!

Thanks RH1977 and KJT for your replies, we have just been told that the villa is already taken, quite saddened by this news as it means the search continues , we would like a villa in a compound with gym and pool if anyone knows of anything coming up soon or that is available right away in this area please kindly let me know. This was the first one the kids liked and they are quite disappointed :-(

Hello, I live in The Greens which is 5 mins away. The area is great and highly recommended. It is quite central and Mall of the Emirates (one of the best shopping malls in Dubai) is a couple of minutes drive. Umm suqeim road is also close by and there is loads of new shops opening (mainly for furniture and beds).

Hello, I live a few blocks away in the Al Nasser compound in Al Barsha 1. We are very happy here and find it very central to where we need to go. I do my weekly shop at Lulu's hypermarket which is 5 minutes away and traffic isn't a problem. The roads can get congested on umm sequiem rd and around Hessa st in peak times but that is the case in many places, whenever there are accidents or road works etc. You are also close to the al barsha mall and the al barsha park is lovely in the cooler months. There are lots of little supermarkets you can walk to or which can deliver too, when you run out of milk etc.
