Who felt the 4.8 in Iran an hour ago? Now i'm not sure if I'm imagining it or not.

oh, also meant to ask, for those 'in tune' with the rumblings - did you a) also have bad morning/all day sickness and b) do you get car sick. :)

No stranger to what the summer can do to you (And for newbies make sure as well as extra water that you are replacing your salts & minerals (sports drinks/pocari sweat etc) - as the summer can make you feel tired/cranky/fatigued/fed up/drained etc. But this is different. It is earth related!

If the dizziness only happens when you're upright, the cause is probably not related to the ear. If the dizziness sometimes happens when you're lying down, the cause is usually an ear condition. The most common causes of dizziness are outlined below. A viral illness that affects the ear - this can cause a severe form of dizziness called vertigo Migraine (dizziness may come on before, after or even without the headache) Stress or anxiety, especially if you tend to hyperventilate (over-breathe) A low blood sugar level, which is usually seen in people with diabetes A sudden fall in blood pressure when you suddenly sit or stand up, which goes away after lying down – this is know as postural hypotension and is more common in older people Dehydration or heat exhaustion - dehydration could be due to not drinking enough during exercise, or illness that causes vomiting, diarrhoea or fever Decreased blood flow in the back of the brain, called vertebrobasilar insufficiency – the blood vessels leading to the brain from the heart may be blocked (known as atherosclerosis)

@ Thunderbird: I have been having the same, go to a doctor and have your ears checked. I was told I have a fluid imbalance which is causing nausea, dizziness and sire ears and throat. Been given meds I have to take for 2 weeks. Worth checking. Thanks, if it continues to happen I will be sure to get it checked out :)

I have been here in Dubai for just over a week and I have mentioned to my husband a number of times that I keep getting the sensation that I have "sea legs", like Tattie Bogle stated. The sensation keeps making me feel ill. Hasn't happened today or yesterday but there were a few days since i arrived in Dubai when i felt it happen for a few Consecutive days. Thank goodness I'm not going mad!! My husband asked "you aren't pregnant are you?", I bleeping hope not ha ha ha :) edited by Thunderbird on 04/06/2013 try and increase your water intake around 5 fold! Welcome... hope you will soon be steady! edited by roysie on 04/06/2013 Ha ha, thanks for the advice but I truly think there is more to it than that. Although it is warm at the moment I am used to hot weather having previously lived in Australia. This feeling is exactly how I have felt after being on holiday on a cruise and then walking on dry land. The earth keeps smacking me in the face, surely not dehydration?....

Dizziness in Dubai is called Summer. I get it every year. Followed by intense exhaustion, zero patience and midsummer you start feeling somewhat depressed.

how very strange. I have had dizzy spells but they just last a couple of seconds. It has been happening a few times a day for about 10 days....

I feel like I am even having problems walking in a straight line, like when you have been on a boat all day and get off. This is REALLY odd.

Sorry to bring this back up again but I can't work something out. As I said before, I'm ok travelling except when I start reading. I always thought it was because I wasn't looking where I was going. So how come I dont feel sick when I close my eyes/sleep in the car? Totally random, sorry about that. Just wonder if there any clever ladies out there who know the answer? http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=why-does-reading-in-a-mov

I also keep feeling dizzy, on and off or like whatever I'm sitting on or lying on is moving slightly. When it happens i always look up at our ceiling lights to see if they're swaying at all but they never seem to be so i just keep thinking I'm imagining it! Glad to hear I'm not actually going completely nuts!! EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I am constantly looking at the ceiling!! me too ...

ok, here's a thing. are we all more sensitive now and more in tune with feeling slight tremors? OR have we always felt them and the resulting dizziness but have only recently realised what they are?

I'm not too bad with motion sickness. Unless I am reading. I read about one sentence then want to throw up. :( Same here! I can't read anything while in a car. Oh and I suffer from airsickness as well, can't eat or drink anything before or during the flight because I can't keep it down.

ok so who out of the below has anything to say regarding motion sickness or morning sickness!? It's all connected!! Nope, definitely not had motion sickness. When I was pregnant I had horrendous "morning sickness". was never actually sick but felt horrifically nauseous from the moment i woke up in a morning til after i went to bed at night. Only lasted about 4 weeks tho, thankfully!!!
