CM, do you leave them in for a whole month? Does it not irritate your eyes? I have always wanted to try leaving them in over-night, but too scared to do it.
You need to be aware that all contact lenses are not suitable for this - even if they are called monthly... most opthalmologists prefer that you have a lens in your eye for the least possible time then dispose!

I was told the same by my opthalmologist - never ever leave the contact in the eye for the whole month. She told me, it would be ok to leave overnight once in a while IF YOU HAVE TO (lets say camping) but thats it! your eye cannot breathe normally, it is much warmer on the eye surface, not enough moisture and there is a bigger chance to get an infection.
I use True Eye or Daily Moist and I'm very happy with these.
If you're Shopping and Shipping from the UK try DaySoft contact lenses. I used to use Acuvue Moist and my BIL recommended DaySoft - 300dhs gets me six months' supply rather than the six weeks I used to get with the Acuvue here.
I'm using Acuvue oasys with hydra clear. They can be worn for a week (extended wear) but I'm too chicken to try. Maybe over eid. Rhanks sponge and cheeky :)
Will try the daily ones next!
I love my Accuvu true Eye - they are daily contacts and cost about AED300 for a month's supply. But you can get 3 months for i think AED 720....
I use these now as well - they are so good! Deal with this climate and being outside a lot well.
yep - and sometimes i night i forget i still have them in!!!

If you don't like taking lenses in and out every day, try the monthly ones, put them in at the beginning of the month and change them at the end! I have been using them for ten years and they are fab. I have quite bad eyesight (-5.25!) and it is great to wake up with perfect vision rather than fumbling for my glasses.

Yes, you don't take them out every night like you do others. They are specially made for that purpose (continual or extended wear I think they are called), to be left in (you can't just leave ordinary lenses in). Have never had a problem with them. I of course have had to take them out occasionally if I have got something in my eye, just like with any contact lens but I don't even know I am wearing them just like with ordinary lenses. They don't suit everyone, if you suffer very badly from very dry eyes then they may not be for you, but I wore them in Dubai with the A/C and desert camping and never had a problem...

I have 2.00 power!! And I am looking to buy lenses (transparent) for the first time.. Where should get them, and what types are better??
Try Acuvue. They have both daily and monthly ones. Available at almost all optical shops.

I have worn soft contact lenses for more than 20 years. I always used to have monthly ones but just over a year ago I tried daily disposable ones for a holiday. I would never go back to the hassle of having to clean and stores lenses. The daily ones are very convenient. I usually buy mine from Pearl opticians in MOE.

Soft and breathable are best - I think these days most should be anyhow. I buy Air Optix which come in sets of 6 and each lasts about a month (longer if you look after them).
You can find them in most optical shops. I get mine at Vision Express in Dubai Marina Mall but they also have a shop in Ibn Battuta and a few other malls.
