Hi, I lived in an apartment and am tired of it. I was considering moving into a villa (Jumeirah, Umm Suqueim). I believe the internet cost will be the same, DEWA not so much more expensive if we don't use the light in all the rooms at the same time and AC more expensive.

But what about the landscaping cost? Does the renter pay for the gardening or the landlord? How much is it?

In my last villa the landlord paid for the landscaping (very basic, nothing fancy) and he paid the gardener too. I paid for the water (which can get very expensive if your gardener is enthusiastic.

Usually the tenant pays for any landscaping and for a gardener. The when they move out, they can either ask the owner to purchase anything they've done, or rip it all out or sell it all off! Yep, I've known people sell their entire gardens.

When you say landscaping do you mean just a gardener that cuts the grass, rakes and waters? If so it would probably cost around AED 300 per month. HTH O and yes the renter pays.
