"Genuine question - what is the attraction of a couples massage as I have seen several threads requesting this?"
At the very least, you can ensure that DH doesn't get up to any hanky panky if you're in the same room;)
The Couple massage at Melia is also nice. They provide you with a spacious massage suite wherein 2 ladies give you a massage side by side & then some 'lone time' with a private jacuzzi inside the suite.)
The Oberoi in Business Bay area do, Dreamworks chains, Kempinski on the Palm...
Obviously if you are wanting drinks Dreamworks is not the one, but I recommend Kempinksi! Good Luck!
My husband and I have been to SensAsia both on the Palm and at Emirates Golf Club -- you could have a drink outside afterward probably in either place.
Genie -- the reason that some couples go for massage together is that it's the only (legal) way in the UAE for a man to have a female massage therapist and some men (my husband included) aren't comfortable with another man providing the massage, so it's a preferred option for them/him.
DH always has a female massage therapist at Feet Lounge in Biz Bay, i think they are all female there? Very reasonable prices. Not suitable for the OP, as not in a hotel and the male and female areas are completely separate etc....
The Zabeel Saray on the Palm do a couples massage, sauna and Jacuzzi in the spa there too.

Yes Zabeel Saray is fab, we tried it once when I won a AED1000 voucher, and we had to add to that, but the OP did ask for somewhere not too expensive :)

It's not legal? The masseuse I go to was referred to me by a male friend who sees her...confused

Aah- that makes sense now - thank you.

Genuine question - what is the attraction of a couples massage as I have seen several threads requesting this? For me when I have a massage i like to totally zone out and hopefully even fall asleep, I would not want to be distracted by someone on an adjacent table chatting or oohing and aaghing or whatever. I would prefer somewhere like Cleopatra's that has both womens and mens facilities where you could have a simultaneous but separate massage and then go to one of the bars upstairs,
Perhaps I am just not romantic enoiugh? to me a massage is totally chilled out me time - not to be disrupted by anybody ;)
I can highly recommend Desert Palm, it is a little bit far out, but the prices are good and the ladies there are really nice and know their jobs.
They also occasionally have special offers on through Lime & Tonic http://www.limeandtonic.com/dubai/en/experiences/4165/desert-palm-lime-spa-valentines

Hello ladies!
I'm looking for a couple massage in Dubai somewhere for my partner and I. Ideally not too expensive and ideally in a hotel where we could use the facilities/go for a drink after...
Any ideas?
Thank you!
