Any update with the gym? I went down there two days ago, all equipment appears to be in, but still wrapped in cellophane, with no sign of any workers in there getting it ready. I hope there's not another long wait now until it's opened :(

Hi Ladies, I called the contractor for the gym and they said within 3 to 4 days it shoul dbe complete :) I just hope they have decent opening times so we can go before work if we want to. Do any of you use a Good Maid service in Executive towers with maids that clean and do the ironing??

:) Hey, does anyone know what the deal is with maintenance? We had someone out for an hour+ checking a fuse in the a/c which had tripped because there is water dripping on a wire, then back again today - but they said their work is all free :\: how's that then? it's more than 1 year so it's not included in first year of maintenance? Is there some maintenance built in to the service charges? (Not complaining!!!!!!!) :)

Empower standing charge = 508 AED pm (1500 p quarter) - usually payable by LL but check your contract!! DEWA - 350 Empower consumption - 250 max (probably 0 over the winter as the apartments are chilly with the cooling system already!) There is a new sign up today for the Men's Salon (Saloon :D ) at the Burj K end. Does anyone have the phone number for Spinneys?

Sampled Curry Box last night....now know why it is called Curry Box :) I was delish!!! On the way back from ordering, noticed that the pharmacy was being stocked up. Lady inside said they will have full stock and open for business on Monday! Very handy to have a pharmacy downstairs. :)

For all your sakes, in the interest of research, I tried CurryBox last night. It was nice but not as spicy as I would normally have, despite ordering spicy stuff. That probably suits a lot of people! Took 40mins to be delivered, i probably ordered at a busy time though.

up my end there is a new rent a car office with signs up and chairs stacked outside, looks like opening is imminent. Aster pharmacy and medical place still signs up but not open. The Russian (?) restaurant still not open. That's about it I think. Outdoor lamposts are up front and back, little water fountains out the back (bay avenue) running and looking lovely. LOTS of activity on the ground outside facing downtown. flattening of ground etc with an area in the middle with big mounds. Think I read somewhere that there will be a mosque there, so it looks like that's where it will be and that building of that will be soon! It's all happening very quickly now. Lots of progress on the roads every day!

Had a walk through one of the gyms yesterday and they were getting ready to put the equipment up. The guys said in a few days it will be open and from 8am-10pm. It is a mixed gym with one end equipment and the other a large room which can be split into two for guess yoga/dance. Inside change rooms are lockers, showers, steam and sauna. also small coffee/snack shop.

hi papaye, there are some nurseries close to executive towers, but i don't know if they are nice or not as i haven't checked them out yet. Hummingbird in DIFC, , Raffles nursery Old Town, kangaroo kids burj dubai branch, and British Orchard in Bur Dubai. hope that helps
