Hey BM, we had a look at a podium villa and a three bed apt, the size of the space in both was exactly what we were looking for, however the villa was a bit gloomy (it faced onto a multi-story car park - when the agent said it had no view that wasn't quite what I expected!) and DH didn't really love the bathroom/fittings in the 3 bed (he's quite particular!). We also had a bit more in our budget which DH seemed keen to spend so we've ended up signing up for a place on the Palm which we're excited about, it is further away from work and no where near old town as originally wanted but it is closer to family and friends and after 4 years in Old Town I'm quite excited to try out a different side to Dubai. Thanks for all your help though ladies, esp the directions to Exec Towers, they were spot on! <em>edited by DXBchica on 22/09/2011</em>

Just had a communication from Green Emirates Properties (owners of Tower C, maybe others) saying that he day before yesterday they received a letter from Dubai Properties informing them that the gym will be open in 15 days! :)

Thanks BM, sounds like it will just be easier for the purpose of the viewings to use the SZR entrance and then if we do decide to move there we'll figure out the rest in time!

Thanks Polly. Is SZR the only way in or out of Exec Tower and does this mean we would have to pay Salik each time (at the moment we get away without paying most days as we live in Old Town!) Thanks.

Hi Ladies I have a couple of viewings at Executive Towers this afternoon but don't really have any idea how to get to it from Old Town (especially as it seems like the roads change all the time!). Please can someone given me directions for the best route in from Old Town? Have been told to meet at Glorai Jeans, have no idea where that it either! TIA Easiest thing to do would be get back on to SZR heading towards AD, take the exit to Safa Park, but head straight and take the flyover to the otherside of the SZR so you are heading towards the trade centre! Come off at Dnata Holidays slip road, drive straight past metro station, the road bends to the right, drive straight you will reach a big roundabout go straight over r/a and you will see Gloria Jeans up in front of you. HTH
