Thanks BM! That's really helpful. When I looked a coiuple of weeks ago, I was quoted AED90k for a 3 bed and that was then dropped to AED85k. It seems like vg value but I just wanted to check there weren't any catches! One thing dh isn't sure about is the current lack of amenities... any idea when Spinneys is due to open? Also, how long do you think it would take to walk to the metro from Tower F? Cheers x

Hi ladies! You seem like a friendly bunch so I'm hoping you can help out. We're looking to move to a 3 bed apt in the next few weeks as our current lease expires at the end of June. Right now we're living near DIFC and would like to stay in the same general area so BB sounds like a good move. We had a look at a nice 3 bed in Tower F a couple of wks ago and liked it. BUT I've since heard that the maintenance is awful. Is this true? Also... is there a group of mums who meet up regularly for playdates? We used to ahve this here but it is becoming more and more 'maid-centric' as ppl just leave their kids with helpers. Many families even have one per child, and although I am not judging this, it is just not in my culture at all. Look fwd to hearing back from you. TIA x

Thanks girls, it's looking like a possibility!!! Just waiting for the deal to be done on rent which I'm letting my DH deal with..... Love the finishings in the villas and it'll be a great space for our family.. Hopefully I won't have to speak in rhyme all the time (Miss B) and we'll feel at home there. Also when looking for villas, we came across an investment fund which owned many of the villas. I do not recall the name of the fund, but found them to be rather realistic and easy to deal with. Oh yes, it all just gets better and better. My one concern about moving there after living in a traditional villa with a garage was having to haul groceries from the lift to the door but this means that I can at least get the heavy stuff delivered. I sound like a right spoiled mare don't I? I'm not *one of them*, honestly :D

recently looked at some lovely 2BR apt's and wondered if anyone has any vacancy leads direct from the owners. Also from what I read, it seems to be a child friendly community? I didn't see any playgrounds or indoor play areas only a couple small patches of grass and 'to be completed' health/gym facility.

Reading all the excitement about Executives makes me want to be part of it !! You're not interested in a furnished apartment are you???;) No haha, have too many already ! Just a nice 1 or 2 bedroom depending on the price difference Look on Dubizzle. There were a few last time I looked. I think maybe 60 000 for a 1 bed?

OMG how exciting!!! the development is a perfect distance for firework viewing as it's not too close but just close enough. You don't have to wait til NYE either, you'll get the National Day ones first....!!!! Sorry I thought you were going for the terraced apartments (I think all those come with a pool) - the ones that are halfway up the towers and have the wooden wall things. I want to live in one of those.... :cool: me too.. i don't like over populated pools, those villas look nice too really modern looking *me likey : )

(the elevator entrance is in front of the court yard where al the nice nannies hang out... good luck
