Ladies your words are very motivating!! Reading your comments will be very helpful to get back into insanity. I think I'll need to restart from scratch as I stopped the program around mid May. Well done for those who are digging deeper!

Yay people are back!!! Welcome clara22 and pepito!!! Well I finished week 4 and on my day off felt really unwell. 3 doctors trips, loads of bloods and meds and I'm finally starting to feel better. I don't really know when to restart or whether to just start recovery week or to go back and do the last few days again. I was really struggling with motivation the last few days as I found it had all got boring and I guess I was already unwell but ignoring it (oops) what would you do??? Well done for restarting and sticking with it ladies we WILL all finish xx

Welcome Clara22 and Pepito! I hear what you are saying...it's tough to get back into it after you've had a break of any length of time. I struggled yesterday after a 6 day break. It's demotivating to know you put so much work in during those first few weeks and that re-starting could mean you will not be at the level you were when you stopped. I have read on some fitness sites that you should start from where you left off....re-starting the programme again can be more difficult and possibly lead to people giving up before finishing. I almost didn't press play today.....especially as it was the cardio session (NOT my favourite) but I was glad I did. For me, the kick I get out of overcoming my mental battle to press play, is often better than the smug pride I get out of finishing a tough session. C'mon ladies....there are quite a few of us on here now. Think about the results, think about how strong you will feel, think about how accomplished you will feel, think about completing the challenge...DIG DEEP....(but do not compromise form for speed!)

Hi Ladies, hope you don't mind me joining in. I started Insanity a couple of months ago but stopped after pulling a muscle in week 2! Reading your thread has inspired me to try again! Don't lose motivation Pepito!

Hi insanity ladies! It's been a while since I last wrote here - I have been hiding from this discussion, as I'm not very proud of my performance with the insanity program. I've done it for 3weeks and that's it, I had a neck injury, two visitors in a row, and that was the end of my insanity program :-( I went through the joint/knee pain too (I think it was due to bad quality trainers). I've completely lost motivation, please help!! I am planning to get back into it asap, I was doing so well, and seen results already after 3weeks, but it's really hard to stick to it 6days/week :-( especially when you stop even for a couple of days! Well done and hats off for the ones who managed to complete it!!!

Hi Onelasttime - how is it going? You on your recovery week now? How are you finding it? Notnewintown - how are your joints holding up? I have had a rotten week. First I took a break of 2 days as my knees were starting to ache. Then I got the flu....so missed out 6 days of working out. I only felt up to getting back to it today....I kind of picked up where I left off. I was due to do my recovery cardio session, but didn't see the point as I had missed a week, so I went back to plyo. 2 more sessions and I will start the recovery week. Here's to painfree joints and viruses steering clear!

Hello ladies! Piggle, congrats on the great results! You're only getting stronger and stronger! I would like to update you on my knee and ankle pain: I decided to stop working out until all of the pain would completely dissapear. This took me 4 or 5 days. Plus, I bought cross trainers. This worked for me as I have restarted Insanity a week ago without any pain! Yay! :-) Good luck ladies!

Way to go ladies... Piggle - fantastic improvement - this programme really does work doesn't it! Yes you have to put the work in but to get to see the results so quickly is just so rewarding. Keep going... I am so so sooooo tempted to restart Insanity....

Thank goodness there is still another Insanity woman out there...it was getting kind of lonely there for a while. Hope you are feeling better, Onelasttime. Good luck with the fit test! It really is great to see such huge improvements.

Hey Insane ladies! How are you getting on? How are you finding the workouts? I had a tummy bug this week and had to miss one day. Did my 2nd fit test today: Switch kicks: 68 > 114 (I count each one.....not 2 kicks = 1 rep - makes me feel better!). My form on these is not great. Power jacks: 29 > 40 - I like these! Power knees: 70 > 98 Power jumps: 22 > 32 - I hate these! Globe jumps: 5 > 12 Suicide jumps: 9 > 14 - I used to call these 'burpees'. Suicide jumps is much more appropriate! Push up jacks (as I can't do full push ups I substituted these for moving girlie push ups): 19 > 32 Low plank oblique: 37 > 60 I took the 'Tania' approach of trying to do the moves very fast and then taking a break rather than working at a steady pace for the duration. Am amazed at the improvement. Really has spurred me on. I can also do 2-3 full push ups........something I have never been able to do before!!!!! Keep going ladies and let us know know how you are doing.......the support has been great!

Thanks for all the support ladies! LOL.......Rather than wanting to punch Tania, I try to focus on the ripped guys at the back!!! Some are as fit (in both senses of the word!) as Shaun T himself!! I use Lean95. It's a natural product and has all the necessary stuff in it, but with only 95 calories, I don't think it's enough. Can get it in the Organic store. Have read about Syntha 6 here too. Need to look into that. Would love to know whats in Shakeology as I feel my muscles need an extra helping hand to recover..... Used my heartrate monitor today. Haven't figured out how to calculate the calorie burn yet, but found I stopped more frequently than I would have without it, as I reached/exceeded my max heartrate quite often. Enjoy your rest day onelasttime!

Don't worry Piggle by the time you get to the end of this you'll be repping out 20 push ups quite easily! Onelastime - I tried to get Shakeology out here but you can't because they are not legally able to deliver outside of the US - the Beachbody team were really helpful and sent me through the ingredients list of Shakeology and I found something relatively similar here - I've just run out and can't for the life of me remember what it is called but I'll do a search and post again when I find out. It tasted disgusting but after taking it for just a week I noticed a huge difference in my skin and general wellbeing so it was worth it. Dear oh dear... the things we put ourselves through to get fit and healthy! Keep at it ladies and DIG DEEPER - have either of you wanted to punch Tania yet?!!!!!

Lol Piggle!! I am loving insanity so far! The warm up kicks my butt too! Nice to know you aren't too far ahead of me, I have tomorrow to do then it is rest day. Does anyone know if you can buy shakeology in Dubai? I would love to use that too but no idea if / where I can get it. Hope you are all enjoying the long weekend x

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! I HATE it ALREADY! I don't think I will ever manage a full push up. Am STILL on 'girlie' push ups and I have done Jillian Michaels' DVDs for what feels like forever......... Day 2 of week 2 done. HATE cardio too....was so glad to see Shaun T collapse on the floor at the end....that really was relentless and unforgiving. I also think my derriere is getting bigger...in a nice way....more rounded....but this makes it more of a problem to fit into trousers!!!! My muscles are tired.....hence the reason I have not yet tried Hip Hop Abs....though it does look like fun. All about sucking in the core and holding it throughout the workout.....will let you know if I ever have the energy to do more than lift my rear end off the sofa...... My lack of puff is what gets me during the workouts. I can do the moves and my muscles do not ache. I think this is down to the intense warm up and rigourous cool down - I love stretching those inner thigh muscles.....didn't realise I could go so far! Doesn't take away from the fact that it is tough and, at the same time, rewarding. I never thought I would be proposing 'Insanity' as a way of life!

Hate to break it to you Piggle but you are going HATE Month 2 then... it's quite upper body focussed I'm afraid! Would be interested to hear what you think of Hip Hop Abs - I shied away because I have absolutely no sense of rhythm but it does look great fun and if what they say is true - fab results as well!

Welcome Onelasttime! I put the kids in front of the Wii when I work out (though this does sometimes require me to pause the workout to break up the Wii bickering!). I just finished day 1 of week 2. I really enjoyed my day off yesterday and nearly flaked today as I didn't get started until 6ish this evening. I was tired, hungry and did not feel like jumping up and down.....but I did. Not sure it was an improvement on last week's efforts....but I think I worked harder and achieved more reps before I had to take a breather. I actually dread the warm up more than anything.......more because it kicks my but* than anything else. I quite enjoy the circuits that use the glutes and quads.....and HATE anything that requires upper body strength! Definitely going to start using my HRM from tomorrow...just need to remind myself how it works. Wow...SW - awesome results! Oh for the day I say a size 10 is 'loose'! SEY83 - I also bought Shaun T's hip hop abs....might try that too if I am feeling extra energetic. Looks like fun! Good luck with whichever programme you choose next!

Thanks for that. I've just done day 4 and really enjoyed it, didn't feel it was too intense by comparison to the other ones I have done so far! I've heard about month 2 and have been tempted to watch the dvd of one of them but decided I don't want to be put off. I am going home for a couple of weeks at the end of July so don't quite have time to finish it but I am aiming on taking the DVD's with me and completing it there. Look forward to chatting to the other ladies who have recently started too!!

Snow White that is fantastic!!! Reading all of these posts from the new Insanity "victims" is definitely giving me the itch to start again! It will have to wait until September though as I'm travelling in a few weeks time. I am interested in CharLEAN Extreme though - I saw the ads for that at the end of some of the Insanity videos and it looks good, I might try and pick it up whilst I'm in the UK. Im not sure about P90X tho...that looks tough and needs a bunch of equipment! Insanity Asylum should be third on your list though. Onelasttime - I think Piggle is only a few days ahead of you and Notnewintown is around week3. You do stop aching after the last few days, and then for me personally by around the end of month 1 you just feel tired because you have been pounding your body for weeks! The recovery week does help though, its definitely not a walk in the park, but by the end of that week you feel recovered enough for month 2 and your body isnt as tired. Lol month 2 is a whole different story - it makes month 1 look like a walk in the park, but you will be so pleased with the results and with the fact that your body is actually managing to keep up with a lot of it.

Wow it's great to read your success stories!! I'm on day 4 today and actually looking forward to it. The children are off school so going to have to fit it around them the next few days but I will manage. I don't ache nearly as much as I did after the first couple of days and I'm looking forward to seeing the changes occur!!! Where is everyone else up to? Has anyone else just started?

Hey SEY83... I certainly did - in fact size 10 is a bit loose on me now! I'm so so happy - it was hard work but so worth it... I'm now doing the 5:2 diet and have started back on Jillian Michael's and running - I have P90X and CharLEAN Extreme ready to start after my summer hols. You should do Insanity again!!!!!!!!! Go on... you know you'll enjoy once you get started...

Way to go ladies! I'm so pleased the group is growing! Hopefully those of you on week 2/3 will soon start to see changes in your body... i.e. less wobbly bits! Keep it up and keep posting on your progress. Dig Deeper and enjoy! You can do this and you will look and feel absolutely amazing at the end of the journey.

Hi everyone! I hope you don't mind me joining you all. I have started insanity for the first time and OMG it is hard! I did the fit test yesterday and day 1 today. I exercise first thing in the morning after the school run and I am shattered by 3pm. Where is everyone else up to? I am determined to complete this! x

Thanks for the encouragement NNIT! If it gets easier/more doable from here on out, I should be OK until month 2! I have been putting an ice pack on my troublesome knee each night and find that helps. In fact my knee feels better now than it did before I started! Good luck with week 3!
