Hi Rocketeer - another Insanity buddy - YAY! Well if you wanted to shock your body you have certainly chosen the right exercise programme! Keep posting on your progress... its brutal but worth it! Don't get too down about the fitness test - I didn't do particularly well the first time I did it but you'll be amazed at how much you have improved the next time you do it (I think its after week 2). Good luck!

Hello ladies! Im so glad I saw this today.. I have been struggling to lose weight for a while. Used to be really fit because of boot camp at jbr beach with smartfitness.. one of the best I have ever done - and I have used trainers in the past as well. Sitting for 10-12 hours got me 15 pounds heavy in the past year and I haven't done anything more than climbing a flight of stairs occasionally..just try to low-carb to not put on much more weight.. Anyways..I started Insanity today..first day. Just wanted to shock my body and hope that muscle memory will help me through it. Fit test yesterday was pretty disappointing.. I used the heart rate monitor today burned about 300 calories.. It would be nice to track progress here with you ladies..thought I was the only insane one to do this!

Hey Pepito! Well done for getting through Week 1! How did you find it? Neither SEY83 nor I have lost much weight.. but we have lost inches - I think we started to see the results after the first week or so. The weight loss has been very very slow but I believe this is because you are building up your muscles which weigh more than fat - but you will see a difference in the shape of your body - everything becomes more toned and less "wobbly". I have rock hard abs now whereas when I started on Insanity my tum was like jelly! I have stopped weighing myself - I will probably jump on the scales when I am done with Insanity just out of interest but for me my weight is not important. I never followed a proper diet plan either just watched what I ate and made sure I drank plenty of water. I'm about to start the dreaded Month 2 today... because I know what to expect I'm not entirely sure I'm looking forward to it!!! Keep me posted on your progress - keep at it - you will start to see the benefits very soon

Are you still on your first week Pepito? Believe me it does get easier but the first week is a killer. My advice is to slow things down and do the workout at your pace - don't try and keep up with Mr T and the gang - you should find that Week 2 is easier (yeah ok just very slightly easier!). I haven't missed a session yet *she says polishing her halo*!! But I am lucky in that I haven't had any other "distractions" and have a pretty stable routine. I wouldn't beat yourself up too much about it though - the important thing is to keep going and work as hard as you can without throwing up/passing out!!! You will start to see the results very soon - that was what kept SEY83 and myself going - this programme is brutal but it works and it works fast if you put in the effort. Keep at it Pepito - you are clearly enthusiastic which for me is 99% of the battle... Thank you Snow White for the encouraging message! I am still in my firts week, today should have been my last day, but since I skipped yesterday, I will complete week1 tomorrow. Hi Ladies, I have now completed my 1st week, it was rest day yesterday! Yay! Today I am starting week2 :-) However my weight hasn't dropped at all :-( I haven't been very good with my diet plan, but haven't been over eating either, I feel really down, and so insecure with the extra weight I put on. I will carry on and hopefully see results very soon How are you getting on Snow White?

Hi Pepito Great news that you are in full "Insanity" swing! How are you finding it? I'm just about to start my Recovery Week and then I'll be into Month 2. Hi Snow White, Well done! I am finding it tough to be honest, I thought I was going to pass out at yesterday's session, but I am not giving up, no ways, I actually look forward to a new session everyday Have you ever missed a session? I skipped today's, as I was back home quite late, and feel extremely guilty :-(

Hi Beebers, The program comes with a diet plan, and a method to calculate your daily calories depending on weight, height and lifestyle. I have made the calculation and I need 1800 calories / day, I then need to substract 500 calories if I want to lose weight, which brings me to 1300 calories. I am so desperate to lose weight, and if I don't follow a plan while I am exercising I end up eating for two, lol edited by pepito on 05/04/2013 Got it. I only know the basics of the program based on my friends reviews--I didn't know it had a specific calorie calculator. Plans are good for everyone! Good luck and hang with it! Congrats to you, SEY, I remember reading your first post when you started this. That's quite an accomplishment!

I am also reducing my calories intake to 1200 to 1400 calories / day. I find myself looking forward to a new exercise every day, fingers crossed it lasts. I will keep you posted Hi Pepito, can I ask why you reduced your calories to (average) 1300 per day? That's pretty low, especially if you are exercising HIT with a program like Insanity. Hello ladies! I haven't been here for a while. SEY83, I can feel your pain on not having a maid, I work full time with 1 L.O. and no maid, I feel like a headless chicken all the time! Good work Snow White! you ladies have been my inspiration! I had a neck injury (nothing to do with insanity), and was really exhausted from trying to juggle work, home chores, my Little one, etc… I now managed to fix my insanity videos, after a long and frustrating experience! I did the fitness test 3 times, as the video kept jumping! I am now up and running with an excellent quality video, and have started all over on Monday, with fit test (yet again lol) and did pretty good at the first exercises and quite bad as it went along, I did the Plyo cardio circuit yesterday, and ooooh boy it's intense! I managed to keep up with the exercise, but was so glad when it was over! I am also reducing my calories intake to 1200 to 1400 calories / day. I find myself looking forward to a new exercise every day, fingers crossed it lasts. I will keep you posted

Welcome back Insanity buddy! WOW what a dreadful time you've had but glad to hear you have sorted most of it out. Good luck with the new maid too. Well I'm just finishing off week 3 of Month 1 - still loving it! I am really pushing myself now - trying to get the form right on every set, getting deeper into the squats and higher with the jumps! BUT I still can't do the Level 2 Drills without a break!!!!! I don't think I'll ever get there either!! Sweating more than I did the first time round and have had to resort to using really sexy sweatbands - otherwise I end up sliding all over the place! I have lost 3kgs - so so happy about that - I'm really pleased with the way my body is looking now too - almost down another dress size - reckon by the time I finish this time I will have reached my goal. Great that you are going to start again and I think you will still see the benefits even with just doing it every other day. It is so addictive and I'm really wondering how I'm going to be when I finally finish. I don't at the moment want to do it all again but.... I can see myself changing my mind pretty quickly. Keep posting on progress!

Hello Ladies! I'm back! Well as much as I can be back, Snow White is right that I haven't logged on in a while and instead have been running around like a headless chicken trying to get everything sorted not to mention that work is incredibly busy :-( So unfortunately I never did my last Insanity workout, and that really upsets me. I was due to do it on the day my maid did a runner and then I literally haven't had a second to myself since then to do anything, let alone workout. I ended up getting my mom to come over to help out with my kids whilst at work as I couldn't find a daily maid anywhere. It was all a bit of a mess, but things are now sorted and my new maid arrives on Sunday. I haven't heard from my previous maid, all I know is that she ran off to be with her "lover" - absolutely no consideration for the fact that she has a husband and child back home!! I suspect that she will regret her decision, when the guy either dumps her or has her engaged in illegal activities. I had absolutely no warning at all other than she has been very off for the last couple of months, lots of attitude and my house was filthy! She left her passport and half of her clothes with us. We cancelled her visa immediately and submitted her passport to the authorities so we have no liability for her at all. So back to Insanity...I thought it didn't make sense to go back and do the last workout as the gap was too big. So on Monday I went back and did workout one and it felt good!!!! I have decided to repeat the program, but not on a daily basis - hopefully every other day. The every day thing was really hard, and now I really just want to maintain all of my hardwork. I didn't workout for two weeks straight and I felt awful...haha its amazing how long it takaes to build up muscle and how quickly they "deflate". The good news is that Plyo cardio circuit was actually really easy comparative to when I did it the first time around. i was nearly able to complete it all without stopping which felt good!! Snow White - how are you doing? Have you lost more weight?? I hope that you have fully recovered from your injury. Pepito - have you been able to keep up with the workout? I would love to know how you're getting along.

Hey Pepito Well done on getting started and I hope you get the technical issues sorted out! I'm still plugging away at Month 1 - just finishing off my week 2 and still enjoying it!! I'm not sure about SEY83 - I do hope she's OK - I don't think she's been on the forum for a while now. Hopefully she'll get in touch soon but I suspect she's got a whole heap of problems to sort out after her maid did a runner.

Hi Ladies, How are you doing on the fitness program? I only managed to start my first Insanity last night - I did the fit test for which I surprisingly didn't do as bad as I thought I would! I'm really excited to continue this program! However, as my video kept jumping I missed one test, the image is of a great quality but it keeps jumping sequences which is really annoying, I hope I can fix this, and have my fitness test done again.

Yay Pepito! Great news... (and I won't ask how you got it!!!!) You'll start off with the fitness test so good luck with that - make sure you keep a note of your rep counts - then the madness begins! It's brutal so don't beat yourself up if you don't even manage to keep going during your first warm up. Start at your own pace but really really try and push yourself as hard as you can. You will ache after the first few sessions but by the second week you will start to see improvement and that is what keeps you going. I'm starting my week 2 today... and still loving it!

That is terrible SEY83 - did you not get any warnings that she would do something like that? I do feel for you - I don't think these ladies really realise how much some of us rely on them and to run away really is the worst thing they could do - why oh why she couldn't just come and talk to you to let you know she was unhappy or tell you whatever the problem was. As you say thankfully she hasn't taken anything she shouldn't have or harmed anyone - I hope your work people have been supportive and let you have some time off to sort this all out. Get the last session done and then that's it over - but it hasn't been a joke - you've completed the programme and that is what counts - you didn't give up and throw the towel in when many would have done. And of course you have your new slim bod to prove that you did work very hard indeed. I'm happily going to sweat and grunt through the programme again - Day 2 last night and I really pushed myself - found it much easier than the first time round - Month 1 seems so "easy" now!!!!!! Keep posting on what you are up to SEY83 - its been great having a "workout buddy" to share the Insanity experience with. x Sorry to hear about your maid SEY83, I hope you get it sorted soon, how stressful! How unfair! I got the insanity in the end, I'm not very proud of the way I got it though... The insanity starts tomorrow! I have a strange feeling of excitement and fear, having to say goodbye to my non fit lifestyle, so I treated myself to a lot of junk this weekend, lol

I wish I could say that I have reached the end :-( My maid ran away and that has pretty much thrown everything in turmoil for me at the moment. Despite the anger and betrayal I feel towards my maid, I can't even begin to describe the inconvenience when I work full time and rely on her to look after my toddler during the day. Thankfully she didn't take anything or do anything to harm me or my family, but I am so frustrated. I am hoping to do the last session today - I feel like the final week of Insanity has been a joke, but I will finish it! I really miss month 1, so I'm sure I'm going to dabble in Insanity. I'm thinking of repeating the program but every other day rather than every day - the 6 days a week was tough! I also want to mix in some swimming, running and the gym and take it from there.

Day 1 Month 1 done... oh how I have missed Insanity!! I've just about recovered from the accident - still get headaches but bumps and bruises are all OK now. I took last night's session fairly carefully and don't feel achy or anything this morning. SEY83 - CONGRATULATIONS for reaching the end!!! Please do post your results too. I bet you are so relieved that its over... but... I wonder how long it will be before you get itchy feet... have you decided what you are going to do next? Pepito - do you not know of anyone who has a shop n' ship account? I actually don't have one either but used a friends.

My last workout tonight!!! Although I'm going to do the fit test tomorrow as well. Snow White I can't believe your starting again from Day 1! There is no way that I could start all over now! Good for you though, you really are a trooper! How is your injury?? I hope that you are okay. Pepito - maybe the difference between you and Snow White ordering is that she used Shop and Ship and you tried ordering directly from Amazon? Do you have a shop and ship account? edited by SEY83 on 10/03/2013 I don't have a a shop and ship account unfortunately. I thought I didn't read it right, that Snow white is starting again! wow that's commitment! Well done!

Oh that's a shame Pepito - I used Shop and Ship (Aramex) and had no problems at all - I thought Amazon UK did deliver to the UAE? SEY83 - have you reached the end? I'm restarting tonight - back to Day 1 - I don't think I would manage going straight back into Month 2 - I'm actually looking forward to getting back into it now. Amazon UK and US deliver to the UAE, but not this specific item! I am really gutted :-(

Oh Snow White, that is terrible. Firstly, I hope that you are okay, your accident sounds terrible. Please tell me it was nothing to do with Insanity was it??!! Secondly, don't feel too bad about having to take a break - lol the exact advice that you kept telling me. I keep having to remind myself that I am not an olympian athlete and so what if we go off course for a few days for whatever the reason may be? The main thing is that you get better and that you are okay. Depending on how long you take off, I would just finish the program and thinking about repeating it later. Or if you have to take off more than a week, then maybe do the last week of month 1 again to ease in your body and then pick up with the last two weeks of month 2. I know that you feel annoyed, because that is exactly how I felt when I hurt my neck, but it is what it is I guess. Don't forget how fantastic you have done this - you didn't skip a single workout! I have also not trained for the last two days and I'm trying not to feel guilty about it. Honestly I have been working 15 hour days and just mentally I couldn't get myself to train. Every time somebody asks me I give them this big long reason as to why I haven't trained and feel like I need to over justify myself, and I guess that's because I feel bad. But, I'm trying not to think that I am a failure for not completely sticking to the schedule, I have tried my best but it's really really hard!

I bought "Insanity" - and that's what the boxset is called - don't get "Insanity Asylum" as that is the next one up! Haven't done P90X but did consider - it also had very good reviews but what put me off at the time was that the sessions were just about an hour each. Not heard of "Insane Home Workout" but just googled it and it looks very similar to Insanity. I don't think you'll go wrong with any of these - when it comes to home DVD programmes I think the hardest part is incentivising yourself to keep going - having SEY83 on board with Insanity has really really helped me. Whatever you decide do keep us updated and we'll make sure you keep motivated! Thank you, I will order the boxset this weekend !
