Suhail Mirza of Pinsent Masons telephone number 04 373 9623. Initial advice is normally free. Isn't he a corporate lawyer??? OP, try Marize Coetzer at Taylor Wessing. She's a pure employment law lawyer and might be able to help. Tel: 04 309 1000

You could try [email protected], she specializes on the labour law & used to give seminars for professionals. Meena quoted me 2000 which I thought was a bit too much - plus she is freelance and I would like to have a firm who can be held liable for the advise they do give. Thanks for the rec though :)

I would say Dh900-DH1200 would be more apt.

Thanks Derien - Sent them a mail and am waiting for a quote. Have tried to go to the labour dept directly but no luck! Can anyone recommend someone else? Habibi Al Mulla quoted me 1900 per hour - not sure if this is a good deal or not...
