Dear lady,

Next time when you want to go straight over that roundabout when you're coming down Umm Suquim towards Al Qudra, maybe have a look at the road. The most left lane is actually only to go left into the Ranches...there is a very big arrow on that lane which indicates that you can go ONLY left, not straight on! The middle lane, which I was on, is actually to go left and straight on.
So next time before beeping at me and gesturing, look at where you're going first and if maybe, just maybe, you are in the wrong.

Rant over...

I had a woman in a Dodge, cut 2 cars off, in Mirdif, and when we hooted at her she pulled a rude gesture at us, my husband was so infuriated with her as our children were in the car, I can not understand why people can not be polite and patient on the roads, we are all going somewhere, rather get there safely.

Dangerous driving seems to be on the increase again and I cannot understand why when a driver makes an error they don't signal an apology by mouthing it or waving their hand The window tinting situation is very irritating. There is a surprising at amount of communication between drivers in other countries involving nods, shrugs, smiles, waves (and worse). It diffuses tension and improves your understanding of someones intentions. I sometimes feel as if one of my senses has been removed when I am dealing with a blacked out vehicle.

I am so glad Sarahlou that it is not just me who confronts people, politely, when they think it's OK to make rude gestures from the safety of their cars. I am ashamed to say that I was not so polite when a lady blocked me in whilst she went into Starbucks and bought a football teams worth of drinks! I wouldn't have minded but the car park had loads of free spaces. Of course that meant an extra 50 metre walk. Shocking.

When they finished this roundabout there was a lot of talk about how the arrows were incorrect - there is no way you should ever be taking an exit after straight ahead from any lane other than the inside... . It is the same in the Greens Big traffic lights. First and second lanes from the left are to turn left, right lane to go straight or turn right lazy people don't want to wait and all 3 lanes attempt to turn left resulting is so many bumps Clear arrows on floor indicate this. There is a prang nearly every morning

I just hope this lady reads my message and realises that she actually was in the wrong lane. Sadly it happens on a daily basis and I usu take the most left lane to go 3rd exit of roundabout into the ranches, precisely for this reason. Today I just happened to be on the middle lane. People going straight on that 3rd lane are usually speeding over and it's gonna go really wrong one day :(

The standard of driving here is absolutely dreadful, people obviously in the wrong lanes and then blame you when they can't turn or have to swerve, people pulling out in front of you without looking then slamming their brakes on when they see you so you have to drive round them. I'm sure drivers also speed up when you clearly indicate to change lane so that they close the gap so you can't get in!. It drives me MAD!

Lately I have seen more western ladies driving aggressively making rude gestures on the roads and turning into the crazy people behind the wheels. I had one 'lady' going completely mad at me, I still don't know what I did wrong, but she was chasing after me drove infront of me and were swinging her arm towards me. The weird thing is that we go to the same coffee shop every morning and I don't think she knows it was me that she was so aggressive towards. There are a lot at present

Dangerous driving seems to be on the increase again and I cannot understand why when a driver makes an error they don't signal an apology by mouthing it or waving their hand I had a Female swerve into my lane as she was texting and when I beeped she went beserk waiving her arms around like a mad woman. We ended up next to each other at the set of traffic lights so I got out of the car and went over and asked very nicely why she did it and why she didn't just signal an apology as it was here fault. She was trying to blame another driver when in reality she was texting and not paying attention. I don't understand why people get so angry and aggressive, it is very alarming

Sadly it seems many people here attended the "I have blinkers on" school of driving.
