Is anyone else encountering this day after day?

Anytime we go shopping we get stopped and told what a pretty little girl our 1yr old is or they tell our oldest boy that his little sister is so cute.
Today I was looking at boy socks and was then told that all the girls ones are over there. ARGH!

Yes we haven't taken our little boy for his first haircut so it is a little long and curly on the ends. Yes he also has incredibly long eyelashes. But really!! He's always in boy clothes.

I used to get this with DD - "oh what a lovely boy" - even when she was dressed in a pink or purple dress. It really does make you wonder!

When DD was small she didn't have a lot of hair and people always mistake her as a boy. Once we were in Ibn Buttuta Mall and someone said you have such a beautiful little boy - I wouldn't mind but she had a friggin pink dress on!

I used to get the opposite, she would be dressed head to foot in pinky flowers and I would get "what a lovely little boy...", go figure... I used to get this too with my eldest dd. She was a big baby and people used to tell me she looked like a boy!

Take it as a compliment....... Used to happen to me all the time , my youngest son was such a beautiful baby (I know we all think we have the most beautiful babies hehe ) with a mass of black curls. People used to stop me all the time to tell us what a beautiful little girl I had. I used to say thanks and have a good old giggle walking away. He is now 29 and we often tease him with it saying what happened to our beautiful little "girl"....:)

This happened With both my boy and girl, they both were and still chubby babies, the boy dressed in boy's cloth "mostly blue and green", and the girl with EARING. and still I hear these smart comments. How would a baby with earing and a pink hair-band in a purple stroller with pink toys be "how cute is this boy"??!!! I hear you
