Can anyone tell me how can i get a parcel from US without paying so much money for the kg's? Coz Aramex and DHL charge ridiculously insane! What is the cheapest way actually?

Thanks

In the past four weeks, I've ordered from several online shops in the US and all parcels were sent to Dubai via USPS (US Postal Service / regular airmail). They have diff kinds of services : first class intl (cheapest but it takes a bit longer), Global Priority and Express Mail Intl, Global Express. I've not used the last two as I never needed my orders in the time frame they offered. Plus, the last two can be expensive, but provide more tracking. That said, w/ first class intl - quickest time a small parcel I received took about 9 or 10 days from US to Dubai. Succeeding parcels sent took 2-2 1/2 weeks at most. Then a skateboard we ordered was sent via Global Priority and it took about a week. You might want to check the USPS site to compare the diff services they offer https://www.usps.com/send/service-chart.htm Had all parcels sent to my dad's office. I always include the PO Box in the address then use the same number in the zip code (for sites that insist I enter a zip code). great, thank you very much i will check that out!!

Regular mail is the cheapest and takes about 3-4 weeks from US. You can even add a little extra to the price if you want mail tracking included. So i just have to give my p.o.box number to the sender from US?

If it's likely to be a fairly regular thing, sign up with Shop & Ship. I did, but i have a parcel which weights about 18kgs and they asked me to pay about 1450dhs for the weight! That is the reason why im trying to find another way because what ive ordered is not as expensive as shop and ship quoted.

Emirates Post is cheap, but I'm not sure it will actually arrive. We tried to send a letter through them when we arrived and it took 3 weeks to come back to us--never left UAE--despite that it was addressed to someone in the States! Mine is always the opposite way around 1 week to get to UK, 4 weeks to get here grrrr
