I am more familiar with the Junior School but have two friends with children in the Senior School and they are very happy. The IB programme in the 6th form has only had 3 cohorts through I think but results have improved year on year. They had their first successful Oxbridge applicant this year I believe. The Senior School library is excellent and there is talk that the theatre will finally be finished soon. They have a lot of space and their sports facilities are good. My friend has found the pastoral care to be good. HTH
Actually they have had 4 cohorts through, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 for IB.
And the results have improved every year.

Hi King123. I am also new to Dubai and chose Repton for both my kids. I have one in Senior (Yr 7) and one in the junior school. We moved from another British Curriculum School in the GCC and we are very happy with our choice in Repton after our first term there. In particular, the Senior School has been supportive both pastorally and academically and our child is happy and settled, playing sport, doing drama, music and dance. I have found the staff professional, friendly and interested. I hope this helps because I too had some doubts as it was hard to find comments from actual current parents.
Of course DC have a lot of Oxbridge students. They are a long established school with a v selective entry process. I just think Repton are doing well for a relatively new school and they keep on improving every year. I don't know how much sport they do in the senior school sorry.
But DESC are not academically selective and they have also had Oxbridge students.
Thank everyone, I'm not really worried about choosing the most academic school but more interested in choosing a school that will support my child an making sure they are in a happy environment that encourages good social well being. If my child is happy and surrounded by happy, motivated, nurturing staff my child will thrive.
I'm taking a look at the other schools mentioned here but I think ultimately, my choice will be dependent on where there a places available.
I just want to make sure I make the right choices for my kids as moving country and school is scary.

Read very carefully what posters write.... there are lots of great schools in Dubai. Have a look at DC, DESC and JESS they are very established schools with great results. Lots of DD friends have just had offers from several Russell Group Unis from these schools as well as Oxbridge.

Thanks, I have looked at the ratings but wanted more of an overview of what parents think rather than an inspector. If anyone can give valuable insight from a parent /child perspective it would me much appreciated. Many thanks
