Yes and I suddenly find myself with a very odd accent! My family made fun of me for it when I was back home speaking to a Filipino lady on the phone, they don't understand how hard it is for some people to understand Aussies here, it was just a habit but they swear I am doing it on purpose. I had no idea :/ Same thing has happened to me. I pronounce my letter 'r' similar to american's now, else I find myself having to repeat everything 6 times lol I bet you hate that :) We are known for those hard "r"s I find myself rolling my "r"s as if I am speaking Spanish when I get in a taxi; seems to be better understood! Lol. I don't mind so much - it is much to the dismay of my family though. My DS is so used to it now that even he seems to have to concentrate on what I'm saying if i switch back to my aussie drawl, lol.

I am wanting to do/see this... instead of "I want to do/see this" (Bad habit picked up from Indian friend!) "I am wanting to try wearing an abaya.." :) I find myself saying that sometimes, too, especially if I am conversing with someone whose 2nd language is English.
