I kept meaning to add this one: "no I didn't have an arranged marriage" :) Ha! or "yes, it was a love marriage" Exactly and the other one was "no I wasn't related to my husband before marriage"! Took me a while to understand that.

They shouldn't be in the mall today, it's "Families only" day. p.s. In Qatar (not sure about UAE) p.p.s. Whilst pointing to single men or after maghreb in Saudi :) or at al nasr at lunchtime today "it's ladies day - why are there men in here" edited by ishehere on 12/06/2012

You're suddenly reminded why you really shouldn't leave personal details on internet forums - there are nuts all over the world reading these stuff! ..hey, they've misquoted me on the very first one. tsk... :-P edited by GoodMorning on 10/06/2012 Annabel Kantaria is a well known Dubai blogger/tweeter working for the Telegraph and has written lots of articles about Dubai Expats...

No - I want an English fringe not a Lebanese one please. One of the best compliments I've received was from dd after I'd been done up (hair and make up) for a wedding and she said to me "mum, you look Lebanese". I was thrilled. Don't misunderstand me it is not derogatory, just a comment on the different things you say here as short cuts to be understood. In fact it is the words of the Lebanese hairdresser I used to go to for a quick blow dry- who after many attemps at trying to blow dry my hair eventually got it and used to asked English or Lebanese style?
