why should bottled water be a problem for you teeth? I expect it's got something to do with the flouride.

I tend to drink bottled here, only because I don't like the taste & it made me feel a bit weird in the tummy (but that could also have been moving to a new country) At home I always used a filter on the tap water even though it was meant to be safe to drink, just because one of my relatives worked for the water authority & told me even though the water is fine, many of the pipes are not. If you are drinking from the tap, and you haven't used it for awhile, best to run it a little and not drink the very first water out (especially overnight or after a few days away) I was worried about bottled water having a bad effect on my teeth, but the dentist said as long as you are using a good toothpaste & brushing at least twice a day, bottled water isn't an issue.

Have done before (for a few years) but DH was mumbling something about metals and insisted we go back to bottle. Still cook and fill the kettle from the tap. I believe the ministry of heath says the water is fine but they cant guarantee buildings tanks and pipes.

Cook, fill the kettle, brush my teeth, the only reason I don't drink from the tap is, it's too warm.

The water out of some of the taps in our villa comes out brown/dark yellow so I don't even give the tap water to my cats. How do I fix this anyway? Maintenance came out once and said they fixed it but I swear they just sat on the roof, took a nap, then came back down a bit later.

Yes-still alive and kicking after drinking it for 6 years! Oh really? do you drink it regularly? I've always been scared to try! :) I certainly do you-mind you they regularly clean the roof top water tanks in our small building-perjaps that makes a difference edited by wuffles on 08/10/2011

No....a decent dose of giardia from ice cubes will make you drink only the bottled stuff for sure.
