Hi ladies,

I'm really stuck with names and have no clue what to call my daughter. Does anyone have any pretty arabic names. I'm looking for short and sweet names. Also I don't want to give her name with (kh) or (3') as it will be difficult for people to pronounce. I checked everywhere and I haven't seen a single name that I liked. I'm worried she'll be nameless.

Thanks ladies in advance

Thank you so much ladies for your help, I really appreciate every single ones suggestion, hopefully her name will come when I see her. All of the names are beautiful with beautiful meanings I just need to find a name that touches my heart if that makes sense. I'm very very picky, but like most of you said her name will come when she's born and the main thing is that she's healthy inshAllah. Thanks again ladies, I'll keep you updated on the name when shes born :)

All of my children's names were picked before I came into the picture :P Latifa (if I had another girl I may chose this) I know two Latifas, one is Emirati- Danish and the other is Emirati- Indian and they're both genuinely nice people :)

I was in ur shoes last year. Till delivery I didn't have a name in my mind but the name her dad liked from a list I read to him ^^ and that I wasn't sure about. When my eyes met her eyes, there, it came out: Kenza ( = Treasure). :) She is now 9 months and she truly is our Treasure. I wish you a safe delivery and a healthy baby. That's what matters most. Her name is already chosen, you just don't know it yet ;)

We recently named our daughter Alia. We are Canadian and wanted a name that won't be hard to pronounce should we move back to Canada but we also wanted an Arabic name as she was born here. We originally spelled it Aliya but changed it to a simpler spelling. Good luck! Our first born had no name for 5 weeks!

AmyAus82 is right - depending on your husband's family origins you may be looking at a more traditional name...

Dalia Deana Dalal Deema Dua Jennah Aya Maram Salwa Sarah Wow what a great list of names Lulee! Thank you ever so much for these names. I liked Dua but my husband doesn't, I suggested Sarah too but my mother in law thinks there's too many Sarah's out there. I had a name i liked but husband doesn't like it unfortunately. I'm trying to find a name that we both like, unless we do the names in the hat and the first name that comes up will be her name. Never too many Sarah's hehe

Hi UAE2012, congratulations on having a little girl! Mine are 4 and nearly 1 year already - time flies! I am German so might not be too much help with Arabic names but a good friend of mine called her daughters Salma and Hannah which I quite like. I also like Lina, Mila and Leila (not sure if that's an Arabic name). Good luck on finding the right name, it took me a long time for my second girl but I am very happy with our choice ;o) Take care Thanks Germanbird for your help :) they are pretty names, I just don't see the names fit with my daughter for some reason, although she still isn't born yet. InshAllah she'll be born in september but i'd like a list of names before then so i'd have a plan A and B ;) Thanks again
