Will do. I had a feel last night when she had her bath and I can't make out if there's even a bump there any more, but definitely no scar or mark.
You are NOT stupid or ignorant! Or, if you are, I am too :). You're a busy mum and not a doctor. Give yourself a break. If it makes you feel any better, DD still hasn't had her 8 week vaccinations as her passport took a while and then DH was away every week for ages so we couldn't do her visa. Now that's lax parenting!
DC please make sure you confirm from your paed. The reason being, no scar might mean the vaccine wasn't administered properly. My DS1 has a very faint mark and we had to do the mantoux test to check when he was 3. I left it too long because I was unaware and stupid. The three days of wait for the result .... was a very tough time. I was hoping DS didn't catch anything because we parents were ignorant to not have checked the scar.
DS was underweight .... weighed 11 kgs at 2.9 yrs. We were suspecting primary complex. Thankfully the result was negative but we have been asked to redo the test if DS has recurrent bouts of coughs or has no proper weight gain. He is gaining weight now and immunity seems to be better. My heart says nothing's wrong :)

Interesting!
I was just wondering about this. DS was the same - his came up and blistered etc straight away. DD has not reacted at all - granted she is only 12 days old - so still plenty of time to have a reaction :) , but I am sure DS's reaction was pretty much immediate.
We will have 1 month vaccines in a couple of weeks so I can ask then as well...
Thanks, Green-ish. Hope you're doing OK :).
I'll make myself a note to remember to ask next time I'm at the clinic. I did feel a small bump on her arm to start with, but it never turned into the red sore DS's did (and mine did when I had it done here). Mine was a mess for ages!
Hi DC. :) Maybe check with your paed if there's no reaction at all. Not every baby gets a reaction to the vacc but a reaction after 2-6 weeks is an almost sure sign that it has 'worked'.
As in all things, there are 'averages' and plenty of babies who fall outside of those averages. In some cases, no reaction means the vacc did not take. If there's no reaction by 6 months and you want to be sure it worked, your paed might suggest a mantoux test.
She'll be five months at the end of March.
My DD's mark became very visiible around 6months, so it might start showing later on, dont worry the BCG injection worked
You can't see my ds one either his five months...I think it shows more as they get older for some reason...as the same happened with my dd she's 2 yrs now and u can see her scar now properly.
